Introduction: To ensure a clean and sanitized production environment and to minimize potential
contamination to products.

Objective: Applies to the whole premise, including production area, storage area, equipment,
utensils, transport vehicle and operation attire.

Responsibility: Lab Assistant / Store Keeper

1. PROCEDURE

1.1 Production / laboratory area


1. All area in the premise are to be kept clean, dry and tidy, cleaned regularly and well
maintained.
2. Ensure ceiling always clean and clear, no spider web, no water dripping from duct.
3. Ensure door always close.
4. Eliminate any wall or door gap.
5. All glass surfaces must be cleaned regularly.
6. All surfaces (work benches, baskets, trays, table, utensils, cabinet) must be
thoroughly clean before and after work every time in operation.

1.2 Utensils, equipment & machinery


1. Utensils, equipment and machinery are always kept clean.
2. All equipment and utensils are to be kept or stored properly after use.
3. All machines are kept clean when not in use. Old, retired equipment, utensil or
machinery are to be disposed off.
4. All housekeeping items (e.g. broom, pails, mops) are to be kept out of sight at a
designated area when not in use.
1.3 Garbage bins
1. Garbage bins are lined with garbage bags every morning.
2. Garbage bins are to be disposed before overflow, replaced with a new clean garbage.
3. All garbage bins are cleaned daily and covered at all times.

1.4 Toilets
1 Toilets are cleaned twice time daily.
2 Toilets doors are to be closed at all times.

1.5 Facilities for workers are well kept


1. Personal belongings (i.e. footwear, food and drinks, helmets) are to be kept strictly in
away from production / laboratory area.

2. Shoes rack is to be maintained in clean condition.


3. Protective wear equipment to be kept in a designated locker.
4. Lockers are to be inspected regularly for cleanliness and tidiness

1.6 Storage areas in the premise


1. All storage racks are to be kept in clean and dry condition.
2. Storage must be properly arranged to enable smooth movement and easy cleaning.

1.7 All carton boxes and packaging material must be stacked properly at a designated area.
Supervisor must monitor all cleaning and sanitation sessions.

1.8 The cleaning program can be described in details in the housekeeping & Cleaning Schedule

1.9 All waste is collected in the operating areas and removed to the waste collection area. Waste is
removed from the sites by workers.

1.10 Monitor and ensure raw materials waste on the contact surface.
