30.Synchronize the time between the PLC and HMI (PCU)

When an alarm occurs on the HMI (incoming event), then the PLC time is specified.
However, the PLC time can deviate from the HMI time on the PCU.
The HMI-Advanced software features a function (this is selected with "Commissioning"
"PLC" "Set date/time") in order to synchronize these times. ePS Network Services also
uses this function.
In order to synchronize the times, please set the following parameters:
– "TimeAdjustInterval": Time interval (in seconds) after which the HMI software prompts
the PLC for the time and saves the difference.
– "TimeReadOK": If the PLC does not respond after the time entered here (in
milliseconds), the HMI software aborts the prompt and attempts again at the next
interval.

ActiveX is a technology that allows software components to communicate with one another
in a networked environment independently of the programming language with which they
were developed. Microsoft developed ActiveX with the intention of creating a standard based
on Component-Object-Model (COM).
ActiveX is mainly used to develop interactive elements for web applications – although it can
also be used for desktop applications. ActiveX control elements can be embedded in web
pages in order to permit highly developed applications and interactive objects.
1. In order to check the settings for ActiveX scripting functions, scroll downwards and if
required adapt the following options:

What are session cookies?

"Session cookies" are transferred when the connection is first set up; however, unlike
"Permanent cookies", session cookies are not permanently saved. When the application is
closed, session cookies are deleted – at the latest when you close the browser.
1. Now check the settings for handling cookies:
ePS Network Services use session cookies; these are only active during a browser
session and are detected after the browser is closed.
If the cookie setting was not set as described above, then the following message appears
at the next log-on: "Unable to log you on: Please enable cookies on your computer."
