Setup Process Overview

The setup and installation process can be broken down into 10 steps, as
shown below. Simply follow the step-by-step directions (and screen
references) to complete one step successfully before you move to the next.

STEP 1 Order Process Email (EMAIL #1)

Once the order is processed, Autodesk will send the Contract Manager an
email confirmation. Let’s you know that your order has been processed. This
does NOT mean your subscription is ready.

View Your Software in Autodesk Account

1. Sign in to your Autodesk Account and go to Billing & Orders >

YourContracts.

STEP 2 Started Email (EMAIL #2)

The second main email that will arrive in your inbox is the Get Started
email. This may be called different things, such as Welcome, depending
where you subscribed.

STEP 3 Sign in to Autodesk Account

Access from your Get Started Email When you sign in to your Autodesk
Account to view your new products and services, be sure you are doing it at
the right time. If you are a new user, wait until you receive your Get Started
email before signing in to Autodesk Account. This will ensure that you are
using the User ID associated with the new subscription order. Do not create
a new account here.

If you are existing Autodesk user, Log in using Autodesk account

If you are new subscriber, Create account associated with the

contract

STEP 4

Review your Subscription Products

go to Billing & Orders > Contracts.

Click Billing & Orders > Contracts to see license software and
contract renewal information

Note: You can also select a product and click Export as CSV from
the Actions menu

Set-Up Users

Note: If you have a Premium plan with SSO, users may be

automatically added.

1. Click User Management > By User in the left navigation

menu.

2. Click the Invite Users button. If your users are organized by

team, select the appropriate team from the drop-down list.
Check The Team Name.
Note: If you are in classic user management, see Add users
in classic user management

3. Enter the user's first and last name and email address.
Note: To add multiple users, click Switch to multiple invites.

4. Click Send Invite. The user's status displays as pending until

they accept the invitation. They will not have access to any
products or services until you assign them. See Assign users
to products, or Assign products to users for more
information.

After you invite users, they'll receive a confirmation email with a

link to create an account with their own email and password. From
their account, they can download products and access support. If
the user doesn't accept the invitation within seven days, you'll need
to resend the invite

STEP 6 Give User Access to the Software

1. click User Management > By Product. You will only see User
Management if you are a primary or secondary admin.
Note: If you're in classic user management, see Assign
products and services to users in classic user management.

2. Select a product to view details.

3. Click Assign users.

4. Enter the user's email address and:

5. Click Assign to assign all product items, or
6. Click Customize to select individual items.

Note: If the user does not accept within 7 days, you'll need to resend
the invitation.

STEP 7 Prepare to Download and Install

For a smooth and successful installation of your Autodesk

product, follow the steps below

1. Check System Requirements

2. Verify You Are Using Certified Hardware
3. Get Administrator Permissions- ask for Contract Manager
4. Install System Updates, Disable Anti-virus Programs & Exit
Applications
Install all system updates and reboot your computer. The final step before beginning installation is
to exit all applications that are currently running on your system. Some applications, for example
Microsoft Outlook, can interfere with the installation process.

Anti-virus programs can sometimes interfere with the installation process. Temporarily disabling
your anti-virus program may help if you're having trouble with your installation.

Download and Install Products.

1. Sign in to Autodesk Account at manage.autodesk.com.

2. Click All Products & Services on the Home page menu.

3. Locate your product and click the View downloads button.

For industry collections or AutoCAD - including specialized
toolsets, first click View items to see individual product
downloads.

4. Select the Version, Platforms, and Language on the

download window.

5. Select a download method. You can select a download

method based on what is available for your product and
operating system.

6. Click Install Now, Download Now or Browser Download

7. Accept Terms and Conditions, and click Install/Browser

8. Click Start Download

9. When the installer files have been downloaded, find and Run
as administrator the files to start the installation.

10. Click Install/Uninstall on this Computer.

11. Do the following and click Install:

▪ Select the products or components to install.
▪ Specify where the installed files will be located. If you
don't want to use the default installation path, specify a
new one. (The path name cannot exceed 260 characters.)

▪ This process can take several minutes. If the process

seems to be stalled, make sure the program is not
waiting for you to close another application; this
message can be hidden by the main installation window

12. When the installation is done you'll see a list of the installed
software components. Click Finish to close the installer.

STEP 8
1. Start your software.

2. On the Let's Get Started screen, click Single-user (versions 2019

and later) or Sign-In (versions 2018 and earlier).

3. Sign in using your Autodesk ID (the email and password)

associated with your Autodesk Account.
