Prerequisites Assessment:

1. What are the Various dimensions of World literary history from colonial to contemporary?
2. 1) plot, 2) characters, 3) setting, 4) style, and 5) theme. We could call them respectively, the story’s 1) work, 2) workers, 3) world, 4) words, and 5) wisdom
3. Based on the selection you have read, what are the names and authors that was mentioned on the text, and their works and backgrounds of the literature from the world

5. Major Genres ( poetry , fiction, drama, fable,creative nonfiction, as well fairy tale, fantasy and horror.

A. Drama

Stories composed in verse or prose, usually for theatrical performance, where conflicts and emotion as expressed through dialogue and action.

Fable

A narration demonstrating a useful truth, especially in which animals speak as humans; legendary, supernatural tales.

Fairy Tale

Stories about fairies or other magical creatures, usually for children.

Nonfiction

Informational text dealing with an actual, real-life subject.

Poetry

Verse and rhythmic writing that evokes an emotional response form the reader

Horror

Fiction in which events evoke a feeling of dread in both the characters and the reader.

Fantasy

Fiction with strange or other worldly settings or characters, fiction which invites suspension of reality.

2. A written close analysis and critical interpretation of a literary genres in terms of forms theme, with a description of its context derive from research.

5. Infer literary meaning from literal language based on usage.

Introduction:

This part must articulate the following:

1. time frame a student is expected to finish in learning the lesson (and where to contact the teacher when concerns arise)

4. Overview of the Lesson

The four main literary genres are poetry, fiction, nonfiction, and drama, with each varying in style, structure, subject matter, and the use of figurative language. The genre raises
certain expectations in what the reader anticipates will happen within that work.

Student’s Experiential Learning: (Note: Use the Flexible Learning Activity Identified for the topic/lesson relative to the General Enabling Teaching Strategy)

This section is intended for the presentation guide of the lesson proper. It must highlight the chunking of the topic into essential concepts through the use of formative questions.

Chunk 1- Presentation of the selection ‘Things fall apart by: Chinua Archebe’ ( Assessment questions)

1. What was the selection all about? who are the characters in the section?
2. Can you identify the imagery of the selection?
3. What is the conflict that was shown in the selection?

Chunk 2- Presentation of the topics ( Puzzel)

1. What are the five major literary genres that was being presented in the selection given by the teachers
2. How does their symbolism affect the selection text?
3. What are the functions of each literary genres relating to reading of selection.
