The 24th of July of 2014 was an amazing winter night in Mar del Plata. Amazingly, it was

not windy at all and the sky was so clear that it was possible to count all the stars there. It was

23.30 and I was only thirty minutes away from turning eighteen. I was really happy about

that and I was determined to wait until the clock hit 00.00. Everybody at home was sleeping,

so the house was very silent. Everything seemed to be perfect so far. Little did I know that my

happiness was not going to last much.

I was scrolling down my Instagram feed when, all of a sudden, I heard a very strange noise

coming from outside. My first thought was that it had been the wind. However, I remembered

what a beautiful night there was. I peered through the window but there was nothing to

worry about. I went back to what I was doing when I heard the noise again. It seemed

somebody was walking on my rooftop. I started getting very nervous since I did not know

what to do. The footsteps began to sound closer, as if the person was inside. The person

started walking faster towards my room.

A second later I started hearing a voice saying, "Open the door! Please, open the door!" I

was extremely puzzled and my heart was beating fast. It was my brother. I instantly opened

the door and he just grabbed my hand. I went to his room until we reached his window. He

suddenly pointed his finger at his telescope that was placed on the roof. I looked through it

and I saw it: the most huge and brightest moon I had ever seen. Even though I was happy

because of my brother's gesture, I taught him a lesson: next time he was experimenting with

his telescope at home, he should warn all the family to avoid a bad moment.
