Ec1402 Electromagnetic Fields

This document outlines the objectives and units of a course on electromagnetic fields. The objectives are to analyze static electric and magnetic fields, understand how materials affect fields, and understand time-varying fields and Maxwell's equations. The five units cover introduction to coordinate systems and vector calculus, static electric fields, static magnetic fields, static magnetic fields in materials, and time-varying fields and Maxwell's equations. By the end of the course, students should be able to understand fundamental electromagnetic laws and concepts, write Maxwell's equations, explain electromagnetic wave propagation, and solve problems involving electric and magnetic field quantities.
