Insights into the Red Fox

A fox is a wild animal that belongs to the dog family. It is related to the dog and the wolf. The
fox looks like a wolf, but it is smaller and has a longer, fluffier tail and longer hair. Its muzzle

is more pointed.

The red fox gets its name from its reddish colour. It is found in the United States. The red fox
is helpful to humans by eating rodents such as mice that eat crops. It also eats chickens and
ducks. In this way, the red fox is not helpful to humans.

Red fox pups are born in the spring. The mother and the father fox watch over the pups for
about three months. After that the pups survive by themselves without mother and father.

Is red fox sly? If you catch a red fox, it will pretend to be dead. Then, when the coast is clear, it
will run for freedom. That's sounds sly to me.

Dolphins are very helpful to men. There are many stories of dolphins using their heads to bump
swimmers in trouble to the shore. Sometimes they guide boats and ships too by moving ahead
of them through dangerous spots. Scientists are trying to prove that dolphins have a brain like
that of human beings, rather a more complicated one. That is why they understand human
behaviour and respond to it through friendship.

Like human beings, dolphins also want to live in company. It would be strange to see a dolphin
swimming by itself.

Dolphins travel together. They slide down the waves made by ships or rolling on their sides in
the foam. And if they see an injured dolphin under water, they sometimes nudge it to the top
so that it can get air to breathe.
