The First Pantheon

The First Pantheon's Founding

The First Pantheon was the first founding of mortals possessing a series of arcane
abilities gifted to them by The First, The First Soul to breathe life into everything.
Later they used these abilities to create and to destroy, eventually ascending to a
higher position of existence, known as The Godhood Ascension. For many ages
and millennia to come The First Pantheon was responsible to safeguard magic and
gifting it to those that were worthy enough to understand its potential, dubbing it
Divine Magic. Arcane Magic was still a concept that could be learned and
practiced but was far more difficult and taxing than to those that were gifted
Devine Magic.
Birth of The Watchers
The First Pantheon would once every generation hand pick a mortal to be
deemed to them as a Watcher. Granting them the ability to see into their past
lives and the past lives of others. To grant them wisdom and experience to guide
the naive mortals that roamed the world. A Watcher could go their entire lives
without realizing what they are capable of. Essentially wasting their abilities and
potential to join The First Pantheon after death. Godhood Ascension.
The Fall of The Pantheon
Ages ago, The First Pantheon was approached by a mortal dragon to plead its case
of why it should be granted the Godhood Ascension. The Pantheon was not
impressed by the brash and disrespectful manner that the dragon appeared to
them, thereby rejecting the plea. The Dragon flew into a rage and proceeded to
attempt at slaughtering and absorbing the power of the divine Pantheon. Many of
the Pantheon fell but a few survived by another dragon. A dragon born from a
star, with platinum scales and an intelligence and honor above any other mortal
being. Bahamut, the King of Dragons. He came to the aid of the Pantheon to
defend them from the reckless and violent nature of his mate. A dragon born
from the core of the plane, made up of its elemental energy of anger and hate,
Tiamat, the Five Headed Queen of Dragons. The Pantheon would not have
survived if it was not for Bahamut, there with the remaining power that they
possessed they granted him The Godhood Ascension. Bahamut the first of the
New Pantheon.
The remains of The Pantheon
The last remaining few of the Pantheon decided to revoke their divine magics and
offer it back to The First. The First rejected this offer. The remaining few decided
to then wonder the world that they watched over for the ages to come.
Eventually as new gods rose and fell, the remains of the Pantheon choose to take
part in the building of civilization. Taking refuge in the desert, The Golden Sands
as it was known, over the next millennia they built an empire spanning the entire
west side of The Continent. The remains of their empire still stand today, The
Golden Gallante Empire. It is said that one of the first pantheon lives and
safeguards the remainder of what stands within the fallen empire.

The New Pantheon

The New Pantheon was the rise of the new collection of gods to guide
and warden the world in place of The First. It is made up of beings
that have proved themselves in some way to be devote and beloved
by the people of the world they inhabit. They are gifted a new form of
a Godhood Ascension along with a host of divine capabilities and a
Holy Legion that is the pure embodiment of what they represent to
use as their warriors of good to combat darkness and evil.
Bahamut, The Platinum Dragon
(The profile of a dragon's head on a shield)
They say a mortal dragon born from a star that still sits in the sky, known as The
Dragon's Crown, it makes up the constellation known as The Dragons Realm
which is in the shape of the head of Bahamut.
Bahamut was the first to ascended to The New Pantheon which quickly grew as a
need for divine magic and worship was needed.
Bahamut has a very strong resentment to evil, his mate Tiamat was his complete
opposite in terms of morals. Bahamut was a compassionate and empathetic
dragon, wanting to protect those that could not defend themselves.
He granted his blessing to two groups that he would deem his Dragon Knights, his
Paladins to safeguard the safe and smite out evil that Tiamat had brought to this
world. The golden scale dragonborns, The Lightbringers was the first that he
granted his blessing to. The other he granted his blessing to is a church that
oversees a large city on a different continent. The continent of Lokeed.
Bahamut Valued wisdom, knowledge, justice, honor and competence in one's
craft. Being dubbed the God of War and Protection
Aila, The Shield of Faith
(The symbol of a dove, wings out, on a shield)
Story goes as Aila was at a summit to put an end to a 300-year war. A war
between elves and men. Aila being born as this war was already at its prime, she
wanted to put an end to it when she was queen of her nation. She called for this
summit with the leaders of the Human States and the Elf Council Members. She
being the queen to one of these human states she offered a peace treaty to the
elves.
During the summit, the crowd was not happy with Aila, as most of them being
human wanted to prove their superiority to the Elves. It flew into a riot as they
tried to assassinate Aila at this summit. She took a few arrows to the arms and
legs and one in the shoulder. She knew of the importance and the image it would
portray to the Elves if she was to execute her own people in front of them. She
ordered her guards to not draw weapons but instead make a wall around her as
she proceeded to sign the treaty.
She died at this summit from blood lose but the treaty was honored and the war
ended. At her funeral the crowd was silent as most knew what a mistake they had
done. Killing probably one of their best leaders to grace them in an age.
Aila received the Godhood Ascension and a spot on The New Pantheon. She
values Love, Peace and Freedom. Being dubbed the God of Freedom and Peace
Zoron, The Humbled Farmer
(Crossed Pitchfork and Sword)
Zoron was a farmer and father. Never an adventurer or someone that would
leave his home. He took care of not just his family, but also those in need in his
small village of Recklo. Granting him the title of Bearer of Crops, as he would grow
most of the villages food and offer it free of charge to those that needed it. In his
eyes it was the right thing to do because what if he was in a situation like that,
homeless and needing someone else's help.
One-day Zoron was out hunting deer with his son, until they heard a cry for help
coming back from the village. They both rushed back to the village, to find it on
fire in a blaze and being ransacked by a passing goblin hoard. He told his son to
hide in the woods. Zoron armed with only his dagger and bow, ran around the
town slaying goblins and trying to evacuate the people that still lived in the town.
He managed to get everyone out except for one, his wife. He stood outside of the
door to his house and saw her there hanging from a noose. He had two choices.
To go into a rage and slaughter every last one of those goblin scum or leave this
land with the survivors and start a new life with them. He chose the latter.
Zoron received the Godhood Ascension due to his valor and choices that he
made. He values hard work, kindness and fertility. Being dubbed the god of
Farming and Love
Astrum, The Unsung Genius
(A book open with a Blue and White Star on each page)
Astrum was an outcast of his society of gnome scholars. He would have the
strangest methods of research and practice that were often shunned by the
community for being a "waste of resources". He would lock himself in his tower
that oversaw the entire mountain range of his home, Noldolii Doratho,
conducting his research and practicing the new abilities he had learned.
These methods proved to bare some fruit. With his new techniques he was able
to pin point the location of an incoming Plain Conjunction which brings in an all-
new assortment of creatures and foul beings. He and only he knew of this
incoming threat.
He prepared himself for the dangers that he was about to face. Making his way to
the tear in the plain, battling creatures never seen before and beings far more
powerful than he, but alas he did manage to make his way to the tear and seal it.
This process took his life. The only other being to see this happen was a passing
map maker, he took down the event in his note book and spread the word of
Astrum.
Astrum received the Godhood Ascension. He valued Knowledge, wisdom and
creative thinking. Dubbed as the god of Learning and Knowledge.
Usnea, The Healing Nurse
(Arrow piercing a heart behind a constellation of stars)
Usnea was a nurse in the small town of Leafda and was the only nurse in the
province to be exact. In times of war and conflict she would act as somewhat of a
combat medic in the field, but for both sides. She refused to choose a side in any
conflict and would rather dedicate her time to healing and caring for those
harmed by wars that were not their own.
After battles she would collect all the dead and give them proper burials and treat
any injured she found no matter what side they fought for.
After doing this for most of her life she constructed a church that was dedicated
to healing those that needed it the most, and this church spread all over the
continent. Towards the end of her life a soldier mistook her for an enemy and
opened fire his bow on her, taking an arrow to the heart.
Usnea received the Godhood Ascension. She valued healing, love, care and
selflessness. Dubbed as the God of Healing and Passion.
Thalgar, The All Hammer
(A great hammer with the profile of a bearded dwarf on both sides)
A craftsman in times of peace and a general in times of war. Thalgar was a one of
the first generation of dwarves to call the Lonely Mountains their home. He was
part of the first builders to build the very first settlement in these mountains.
Kal'Az Karaad, better known in common as Highforge.
He was the first to come up with the design of the Dwarven Great Battle Axe. He
took up the mantle of leader of the dwarves when times of war was nigh with
other mortal beings in their lands such as trolls, giants and gnolls. He introduced
them to the vigorous military tactics and lifestyle that most dwarves follow.
Dwarves don’t tend to worship any gods but they acknowledge them. They deem
the All Hammer, sometimes referred to as the All Father, as the father of their
entire civilization as he single handedly steered them in a direction that would
one day make the dwarves on of the most advanced and respected races in all of
the continent.
Thalgar received the Godhood Ascension. He valued bravery, skill, loyalty and
passion as well as hard work. Dubbed as the God of War and Craft.
Vetnis, Lord of Crows
(A crow with its wings spread on a bed of feathers)
Vetnis was somewhat obsessed with the concept of death. Most today with
consider him a crazed man but after generations of research and divine guidance
we learn the he was a Watcher after The First Pantheon disbanded.
He lived out in the dark mountainous hills of what is now today Doctom. His
abode a small hut surrounded by cages and storks for his collection of crows. He
considered him their only friends and beings that understood him. It wasn't till
later in his life what he realized what he was. After he knew what he was and
word of it spread, people would come to him often seeking guidance and wisdom.
People would also often bring passing loved ones. He would ease their passing
with his abilities granted to him by being a Watcher.
Some today consider Vetnis a madman and necromancer for the practices he did.
Some consider him a good being for helping those pass into the afterlife easily
and without worry. He is revered and worship by all sorts of hermits and hunters
of supernatural beings. He is not widely known, loved or worshiped.
Vetnis recived the Godhood Ascension due to being the first Watcher after The
First Pantheon disbanded. He valued wisdom, care and understanding. Dubbed
the God of Life and Death.
Rywyn, The Dawnfather
(A golden rising sun on a stain glass window)
Rywyn's story is one of redemption. He was once known as Vrakar, The Gold
Tyrant, a Golden Scaled Dragon that ruled over a collection of mortals, treating
them like slaves and servants, which was odd for a gold dragon. He would often
command them to bring him riches such as gold and jewels. He would add them
to his horde of treasure that today has been locked away in a divine vault.
Bahamut at the time was the only of The New Pantheon and he deemed this
dragon evil and selfish considering his metallic heritage. Bahamut took away his
dragon body and mindset and turned him into that of a human. A normal mortal
human being. Vrakar was furious about this as he lost everything he ever owned
and ruled over.
He wondered the continent for a decade not knowing what to do with his mortal
body and life. He had time to think and knew what he had done all those years
ago was wrong and being a gold dragon, he was meant to lead the other metallic
by example. From that point on he became a Paladin of Bahamut. Roaming the
continent and other new lands for people that needed aid or to root out evil that
Bahamut would guide him to. He spread the word of Bahamut to other lands and
essentially built armies that combated demonic and devilish hordes that would
occasionally break through the plane.
Thanks to his new understanding of life and his journey of redemption on the day
of his death, Bahamut granted him the Godhood Ascension and the new name of
Rywyn. His new values were Life, light and generosity. Dubbed the God of Light
and Life.
Zeasteil, The Wild One
(Wolf head howling to the phases of the moon)
Zeasteil was a simple druid born to a tiny village of the coast of what is now today
Ar'Gwaith. He lived a simple life of potion brewing and occasional herbal healing
of passing adventurers. One day these adventurers would be his villages undoing.
One day an injured man was passing by, nothing out of the usual for Zeasteil and
offered to heal him back to health. That very night would be the elements
undoing. This man was cursed with something that caused a massive storm of the
elements over Zeasteil's village, completely destroying it and the surrounding
countryside for miles. Zeasteil was the only survivor.
He dedicated the next 30 years of his life to elemental control, teaching himself to
master the elements and seasons, so something like that never happens again. He
traveled the world educating other druids of the event creating somewhat of a
council of Druids known as the Moon Phases. Each major druidic tribe was to
represent each stage of the moon. With Zeasteil as the head of this council, and a
Direwolf as his trusted companion and advisor, as this direwolf was special. Its
name was Warez, it still lives today as head of this council, taking the place of
Zeasteil.
Zeasteil was granted the Godhood Ascension. He valued Nature, Knowladge and
Life. Dubbed the God of the Seasons and Nature.
The Lawbearer
(The head of a great axe with a scale carved into the blades)
Not one person but a collection of mortals. Names lost in history but legends are
still told.
Not much is known about this group before the writings of history began, but it is
said that this group calling themselves The Lawbearer, roamed the continent
civilizing and teaching other lessor races the basics of Law and Order. The balance
of a hierarchy in society. It is said that even the elves themselves learned a thing
or two about society from this group.
They taught things ranging from Society Rankings, Financial Fairness to effective
use of scarce resources. They are not worshiped as gods today but rather an
example and icon as to how a society should be built and the foundations to
follow.
A self-made icon by the people this group was treated as role models to follow.
They value Invention, Justice, Innovation, Law and Order. Dubbed the "icons" of
Order and Society.
The Dark Pantheon
The Dark Pantheon was a clawing battle between foul beings seeking
to become something far more than mortal or divine in on itself. To
become gods in their own right. They did not receive anything like the
Godhood Ascension but they somewhat more of self-proclaimed gods,
and they do rival the powers of The New Pantheon and are not to be
taken lightly. Few did receive a form of a Godhood Ascension but it
was gifted to them by The Second Soul, a polar opposite to The First.
The Chained Oblivion
(A series of chains in the shape of a pentagram)
The Chained Oblivion is not a being per say but rather an entity that is the plane
of oblivion itself. An enigma of utter chaos, destruction and madness. Giving birth
to foul creatures that cook up within this entity's mind.
The Chained Oblivion itself does not understand what it is fully and therefore
does not really have a foothold on any other plane that its own. Not much is
known about this entity period as nobody has survived a planer transportation to
Oblivion. But what we do know is that a being of such chaos and mystery could be
extremely dangerous that even some others of The Dark Pantheon fear it.
On conflict has taken place before within Oblivion in an attempt to eradicate this
enigma of an entity, to no avail. The Dawnfather attempted once with his holy
legions of paladins, clerics with even a few angels at their sides. The Legions and
hordes of Demons and supernatural creatures that inhabit this plane proved too
much for The Dawnfather and he proclaimed it a defeat. No one survived this
battle in the name of The Dawnfather.
The Lord of the Hells
(A crown made of black onyx and bloodstained devil horns)
The Lord of the Hells is the Archdevil of hell. Its tyrant, its dominator, its
embodiment of suffering, corruption and tyranny. Every Archduke Devil owes
fealty to this being of evil.
His domain being all of Hell, he takes up his throne and palace on the Ninth Floor.
The Citadel of Hell. You would expect a devil of his caliber to be foul and evil
looking. He is in fact not that at all. Depictions of him are somewhat of a beautiful
red skinned man, with long black flowing hair with horns that curve to the back.
And a grin that entails, "Let's make a deal". He is by far the most intelligent and
ruthless of all devil kind, able to take the form of a beast far more foul and
devilish than his actual form.
The Archdukes of hell do not follow him due to their "love" or whatever you want
to call it for him, they only follow him out of fear of their own assets and even
their lives. It is said that one Archduke tried once to overthrow the lord. The
Archduke came to a swift end with just the gaze of The Lord, paralyzing the duke
and the mere touch of The Lord turned the Archduke into nothing but a mindless
blubbering fool that now sits under The Citadel of Hell's prison being tortured for
the rest of his miserable life.
His word is Law and he is above the Law in Hell. They say he is dedicating a small
portion of his assets to the release of Tiamat, but it is not something he thinks too
much about as he knows he does not need the chaotic dragon. His domain is that
of Death, Blood and Domination.
Shav, Liar and Deceiver
(A pair of dice with skulls as the numbers)
Now if there was ever a joke for a dark lord of evil, that would be Shav. Being
nothing but a mere Higher Devil that seeks joy in playing games with mortals and
trying to test their luck. He never really wins and he gets mad by this and sends
his tiny horde of shadow beats after those mortals.
It is odd that some form cults around this being as he is really nothing special. He
gets punished for playing his games and not making contracts with mortals.
The Dread Emperor
(A bloodshot eye of a blood tear in the center of a fiendish crown)
A being of such anger, hate and pain inflicting. This entity is the embodiment of
torture and fear. Many cults that revolve around war and fear worship this Lord
of Darkness and Evil as if he is their true born blood father.
He states, "Fear is your ally, conquer yours and draw it from your foes and you
will be what they wake up to at night in a cold sweat and a fear far worse than
death."
Blood sacrifices are made to this being in exchange for certain powers and
artifacts and pain and suffering. Artifacts that make you a tyrant and laugh at
those that fear you. His domain is that of War and Fear.
Lolth, The Spider Queen
(A black widow with the visage of a women on its back)
The spider queen as that of Drow cultists. They assume she gave birth to them as
the Dark Elves. To do her bidding and to serve her goals. This is partially true. As
most Drow do have a hint of arachnid heritage inside them.
They say she is a beautiful dark green skinned woman with her lower half of that
of a black widow. Enjoying to toy with her prey and subjects that serve her. She is
the one true god of lies and deceit, weaving schemes within her web she calls,
"The web of Fates". Bending weak mortals to her will is nothing to her, she does it
on a regular basis and orders them to do foul things such as murder a love one in
their sleep or break your loves heart, literally. Driving the mortal mad with guilt
she lets them do whatever with their whim as it pleases her to see mortals
mentally break down.
She despises The Wild One, as the two shares somewhat of a similar domain of
nature. The two are in constant strife and conflict. Her domain is that of Shadows
and Lies.
Tiamat, The Queen of Dragons
(A five-headed dragon surrounded by draconic text detailing her description)
Tiamat was in fact Bahamut's mate for a time, being his complete opposite. She
was his advisor and was later named the Queen of Chromatic Dragons. She
possesses five heads of each chromatic color of dragons with the red being her
main head.
Tiamat attempted to ask for the Godhood Ascension from The First Pantheon, but
they rejected her request and she went into a rage and slaughtered most of them,
until Bahamut stopped her. She retreated into the Ninth Floor of Hell. She sought
refuge there, while Bahamut was seeking her. He eventually tracked her down
and the two had a battle that roared throughout Hell itself. Bahamut could not
defeat his former mate and instead decided to use the power of a divine star to
cage Tiamat instead of outright destroying her.
She now sits within her cage of a darkened star that hovers in the sky over The
Citadel of Hell. Bahamut left the cage there as a message to The Lord of the Hells
and that is was a plane that is far off enough from the Arditha Plane that she can't
have an influence.
The Darkened One
(A black flag with a single red blood splatter in the center)
A hooded shadow visage of a man. The one true entity that has mastered the art
of murder and deceit. Cults of his causing countless murders that have sparked
political uproar and unrest.
His plane of Shadowfell, a dark forest swamp land that is covered in eternal
darkness. Making his throne in a castle known as The Murder House. He sits on
his throne watching his puppets do his bidding and spilling blood for the joy of it
or simply just for financial or other forms of pay.
He gifts those dedicated to him with artifacts and boons that make them become
one with shadow and make just that much easier and enjoyable to spill the blood
of your target. He often shows himself to mortal beings to tempt them into
making a contract in exchange for something far greater than they can possibly
imagine.
His domain is that of The Art of Murder, Assassination and Shadows.

The Dark Pantheon is constantly growing over the ages, with new dark beings
crawling out of the darkness and making their way into the planes of the living
and the dead.

The Prime Pantheon

The Prime Pantheon is what The New Pantheon and The Dark
Pantheon are combined into creating the balance of Light and Dark.
Evil and Good. The two sides are in forever conflict with each other
much like The First and The Second. If one Pantheon was to fall or
perish under the other then the cosmic balance would be broken and
therefore The Second would have the create a new entity greater
than that of the previous ones to restore this balance once more.
There is no telling what this could do to the current planes of
existance.

The Divine Gates

The Divine Gates are tears in the planes that The New Pantheon have
placed to act as a gateway to their respective realms. Only those truly
devoted to The New Pantheon can access these gateways or even
know their locations. Only one mortal being long ago was able to
access one of them, The Divine Gate of Zoron.

The Dark Gates

The Dark Gates act much like The Divine Gates only instead on The
New Pantheon it belongs to The Dark Pantheon. The way to access
these gates is far easier that the Divine Gates due to the fact that the
beings within The Dark Pantheon invite anyone into their realm. As a
display of their confidence and complete rule over their realm.

The Wars of The Prime

The Wars of The Prime is the battles of which The New Pantheon and
The Dark Pantheon are in constant war for control over mortal life.
The war of Dark vs Light. Battles are fought between Angles of The
New and Angles of The Dark that are fought in the realms of the gods
themselves. With Paladins and Clerics fighting the Cults and Holy Wars
of the Arditha Plane. This is a conflict that will most likely never end.
A single battle of Angles causes natural disasters and comings of dark
ages within the Arditha Plane. They are to be considered Events of the
Prime when referred to in history or texts of knowledge.
The Death of an Angle signifies the tilting of balance and it is visibly
seen when viewing the stars at night. When an Angle of The New falls
a star in the sky dims forever and a portion of its physical form
descends and makes its way down to the ground. Often used as a
material for crafting various magical items and weapons. When and
Angle of The Dark falls the cracking of the worlds core is broken,
causing an uproar of black smoke and obsidian boulders to be
launched out from these cracks and sent to the surface. These are
used as materials and tools for dark rituals to commune with The Dark
Pantheon.

The Forgotten Pantheon

The Forgotten Pantheon is a collection of gods, good and bad, that’s
worship has dwindled away from what it once was with the coming
and growth of The New Pantheon. There are still a few groups, cults,
temples and churches that worship the forgotten gods and their
tenets. It is unknown how these gods came into being but many have
their speculations.
The Ashen Wolf
(Black Wolf head with fiery eyes)
The Ashen Wolf is said to be the first embodiment of primal and savage nature. A
primal spirit of fire and the hunt, a scourge on the woodland and a bringer of ill
fate. Followers of the Ashen Wolf are usually tribal savages and bringers of chaos,
enacting the hunt in its name. Some say that this once great being now lies as the
lap dog of the Lord of Hell. The Wolf’s tenets are that of if you want power, you
must take it for yourself.
The Depths’ Keeper
(Tentacle like face with a backdrop of the ocean)
An ancient ocean being known as The Depths’ Keeper was once worshipped by
sailors and pirates of the like. Now he lies dormant in his domain, which some say
is the elemental plane of water but others say that sightings of him have been
seen in the Distant Sea. Now those that worship this being are considered to be
mad and corrupt. They horde knowledge of reawakening divine beings in a hope
to bring forth the greatness of their once great keeper.
