EXT. BENCH-MORNING

Wide shot of BEN, a 17-year-old who wears casual

clothes is sitting on a bench looking around waiting
patiently.
LUCY, a 17-year-old who wears bright casual clothes
walks into frame walking towards the bench. Ben
stands up and fist pumps Lucy, they then both walk
away together out of frame.

Ben
So, it’s just us today?

Ben looks at his phone showing the time 12:34 and

day.
Lucy turns to look at Ben

Lucy
Yeh, everyone is busy revising

Ben
Well, that’s a pity. Wanna walk to our usual spot?

Lucy
 Let’s do it but you gotta promise me you’ll help me
with my film studies.

Ben
(laughs)Yeh I'll quiz you

Lucy
Don't make it too difficult or I'll kill you

Ben
Oh no what a shame

Lucy smirks.

them and dropping his wallet. Shot reverse shot of

Lucy

and um. I don’t know

Ben
Shaun of the dead

Lucy
Is this part of the quiz?

Ben
No, it’s just for fun.
Lucy looks at Ben and smiles.

Ben
Alright forget about the quiz. How long have we known
each other for?

Lucy
God, like 8 years I think

Ben
I have something to tell you

Lucy
What?

Ben
Well for a long time I felt like I really Li-

The camera tilts towards Ben and Lucy as they both

have a head rush and feel strange. Flashes start to
appear black and white.
Suddenly Ben and Lucy are standing down the street
they were on earlier looking around confused.

Ben
Um what just happened?

Lucy
 How am I supposed to know

Ben
Look we are down the road we were on before.

Lucy
How? Did we walk back here?

Ben
No, we couldn’t have, I don’t remember getting here.

Ben gets out his phone and looks at it shows the time
12:34 and the same day.

Ben
Lucy, look at this. It’s the same day and it’s 12:34.

Lucy
How? That’s not possible

Lucy and Ben look up at the path Infront of her. The

man from before is walking down in the distance and
drops his wallet.

Ben
That’s the guy from before

Lucy
oh my god it is
Ben and Lucy then decide to continue down the same
route to their usual spot, so they discuss what has
happened.
They arrive at the spot and start talking.

Lucy
Confused as I am. I think this is the best place for
us to be now.

Ben
I feel the same way. It’s like we must be here

Ben and Lucy look at each other seriously.

Lucy
Theories. What are your theories?

Ben
Um maybe some sort of time loop Da Ja Vu stuff.

Lucy
Time loops?

Ben
Yeh a time loop is where time repeats itself
repeatedly.

Lucy
 Oh my-

The camera tilts towards Ben and Lucy as they both

have a head rush and feel strange. Flashes start to
appear black and white.
They then appear back at the street again.

Ben
Okay. This confirms it

Lucy
Yep, yes it does

Ben
Okay let’s continue are walk. The more it repeats the
more we learn from it

Stop what you are doing and hold your wallet tightly

Lucy smiles at Ben

They stop by a wall near the street
 Lucy
Do you think it has something to do with the place we
always go to?

Ben
I don’t know, do you want to stay here to test it?

Lucy
Yeh sure. Also, what did you want to say to me
earlier?

Ben
It’s not the best time Lucy. We are in the middle of
a crisis

Lucy
Alright, just please do tell me at some point

The camera tilts towards Ben and Lucy as they both

have a head rush and feel strange. Flashes start to
appear black and white.
They appear back down the street.
They look at each other disappointed

Ben
So, it’s not the place so maybe it’s a certain time
in the day

Lucy
Good bet
 Ben
You can trust my intelligence

Lucy
Yeh right

They both laugh

the guy who drops his wallet.
They then speed walk past the guy.
Guy turns his back to look at them.
They walk to the field and wait to sit down looking
at their phones so they can look at what time it
repeats on. They sit there until the time hits 13:40
The camera tilts towards Ben and Lucy as they both
have a head rush and feel strange. Flashes start to
appear black and white.
They appear back on the street

Lucy
So, the time it repeats on is 13:40

Ben
Yeh but the only way we are going to know for sure is
to wait again

who drops his wallet. Ben catches the wallet and
hands it over to the guy

How did you-

They then walk to the park and wait in the park until
the time hit 13:40
The camera tilts towards Ben and Lucy as they both
have a head rush and feel strange. Flashes start to
appear black and white.
They are back at the street.

Lucy
I’m getting so tired of this

Ben
I know but it’s the only way for us to figure out
what is going on

Man. The man drops his wallet and they both glare at
him.
Ben
Nice one mate

They then walk to the park and sit down exhausted

Lucy
I don’t know what to do

Ben
 Neither

Lucy
So, what was that thing you were going to tell me
ages ago?

Ben
Well, this might be a good time to say seeming we
might never come out of this time loop.

Lucy
What is it, Ben?

Pause

Ben
I like you Lucy I mean really like you. I’ve been
feeling this way for years and I have been meaning to
you, but I just couldn’t figure out how.

Lucy stays quite

Ben
Say something!

Lucy
I don’t know what to say. I've liked you too for a
long time I was just waiting for you to say first
 Ben
You what!

Lucy
Sorry. Well at least it’s out now

Ben
Well I'm not complaining

Thye both look at each other and laugh

Ben
How about when the loop repeats again, we go do some
crazy fun stuff. Bowling in the time we have?

Lucy
I like that. Let’s do it

They both laugh.

Ben
Oh, it’s just about to turn 13:40

Lucy
See you on the other side

Suddenly it turns 13:41

 Ben
Oh my god! Lucy, I think we are out of the loop

Ben turns to Lucy, but Lucy is gone

He stands up and looks around confused.

Ben
Lucy! Lucy!

It cuts to Lucy back at the street

She looks to her right.

Lucy
Ben! Where are you!

She sees the Man drop his wallet and she realise
she’s still stuck in the time loop and Ben is out.

Ben(v.o)
It’s been three weeks and there still has been no
sign of you. My best guess is your still stuck in the
time loop. I hope your safe. I hope one day we can
meet again and do bowling like I said. I miss you.
Goodbye.
