SUMMARY
(1) History
Since certified EIS2 S13.2 standard, AIRBUS and THALES have developed and certified
the new EIS2 standards S14, S15 and S16.
This Service Bulletin is covering EIS2 standards S14, S15 and S16.
The EIS2 S16 is compatible with all CEO variants, A320 NEO PW and A320 NEO CFM.
This Service Bulletin introduces the new EIS2 software standard S16 on aircraft.
(2) Objective/Action
This Service Bulletin recommends installing the new EIS2 software S16 on NEO
variants of A320 family.
This modification consists in uploading the new EIS2 software standard S16 in
the 3 DMCs (FIN 1WT1SW1, FIN 1WT2SW1 and FIN 1WT3SW1) and the 6 DUs (FIN
2WT1SW1, FIN 2WT2SW1, FIN 3WT1SW1, FIN 3WT2SW1, FIN 4WT1SW1 and FIN
4WT2SW1).
(3) Advantages
From EIS2 standard S13.2, S14 main functions and enhancement are:
- DOOR/OXY ECAM SD page for cabinflex

- AutoBrake mode on FMA
- Modification of ND mode/range in case of FCU loss.
From EIS2 standard S14, S15 main functions and enhancement are:
- A321LR and NEO CJ are introducing new ECAM SD FUEL page to manage ACTs
- NEO CJ is introducing new deltaP indication characteristics on ECAM SD CRUISE
and CAB PRESS pages
- NEO CJ is introducing new threshold values managing display of OXY bottle
pressure on ECAM SD DOOR/OXY page
- P2F is introducing new ECAM SD DOOR/OXY, AIR COND and CRUISE pages
- iASP is introducing new ECAM SD CAB PRESS page
- hPFD is introducing new FPV, FD, energy chevrons and speed delta symbology
on PFD
- New DES mode: S15 is introducing magenta brackets on the linear deviation,
displayed upon FMS request, to indicate the crew the aircraft is latched on the
profile.
- UAMM step 2: Display of numeric back up speed and other back up information
upon BKUP SPD/ALT push-button press
- Alternate AP: Specific FMA modes and messages when BKUP AP/ATHR of
alternate AP is activated
- Correction of EIS 2 S13.2 and Flight Data Interface Unit (FDIU) pre-FS2 mixability
issue (TFU 31.60.00.024)
- Enhanced AP/Manual prot in AP, including:
- Attitude excessive thresholds modification
- FMA amber boxing
- DISCONNECT AP FOR LDG message harmonization with A350.

C. REASON
(1) History
Since certified EIS2 S13.2 standard, AIRBUS and THALES have developed and certified
the new EIS2 standards S14, S15 and S16.
This Service Bulletin is covering EIS2 standards S14, S15 and S16.
The EIS2 S16 is compatible with all CEO variants, A320 NEO PW and A320 NEO CFM.
This Service Bulletin introduces the new EIS2 software standard S16 on aircraft.
(2) Objective/Action
This Service Bulletin recommends installing the new EIS2 software S16 on NEO
variants of A320 family.
This modification consists in uploading the new EIS2 software standard S16 in
the 3 DMCs (FIN 1WT1SW1, FIN 1WT2SW1 and FIN 1WT3SW1) and the 6 DUs (FIN
2WT1SW1, FIN 2WT2SW1, FIN 3WT1SW1, FIN 3WT2SW1, FIN 4WT1SW1 and FIN
4WT2SW1).
(3) Advantages
From EIS2 standard S13.2, S14 main functions and enhancement are:
- DOOR/OXY ECAM SD page for cabinflex

- AutoBrake mode on FMA
- Modification of ND mode/range in case of FCU loss.
- A321LR and NEO CJ are introducing new ECAM SD FUEL page to manage ACTs
- NEO CJ is introducing new deltaP indication characteristics on ECAM SD CRUISE
and CAB PRESS pages
- NEO CJ is introducing new threshold values managing display of OXY bottle
pressure on ECAM SD DOOR/OXY page
- P2F is introducing new ECAM SD DOOR/OXY, AIR COND and CRUISE pages
- iASP is introducing new ECAM SD CAB PRESS page
- hPFD is introducing new FPV, FD, energy chevrons and speed delta symbology
on PFD

- Attitude excessive thresholds modification

OPTION 1 - Modification of the DMC and DU Software with the Set of Media
WARNING: MAKE SURE THAT YOU OBEY ALL THE WARNINGS AND ALL THE CAUTIONS
INCLUDED IN THE REFERENCED PROCEDURES.
CAUTION: ALWAYS OBEY THE PRECAUTIONS THAT FOLLOW TO KEEP ELECTRICAL

WIRING IN A SATISFACTORY CONDITION (ELECTRICALLY AND MECHANICALLY
SERVICEABLE). WHEN YOU DO A MAINTENANCE WORK, REPAIRS OR
MODIFICATIONS, ALWAYS KEEP ELECTRICAL WIRING, COMPONENTS AND
THE WORK AREA AS CLEAN AS POSSIBLE. TO DO THIS:
- PUT PROTECTION, SUCH AS PLASTIC SHEETING, CLOTHS, ETC., AS
NECESSARY ON WIRING AND COMPONENTS.
- REGULARLY REMOVE ALL SHAVINGS, UNWANTED MATERIAL AND
OTHER CONTAMINATION.
THESE PRECAUTIONS WILL DECREASE THE RISK OF CONTAMINATION AND
DAMAGE TO THE ELECTRICAL WIRING INSTALLATION.
IF THERE IS CONTAMINATION, REFER TO Ref. ESPM 20-55-00.
NOTE: The accomplishment instructions of this Service Bulletin include procedures given in
other documents or in other sections of the Service Bulletin. When the words “refer to”

SERVICEABLE). WHEN YOU DO A MAINTENANCE WORK, REPAIRS OR

(c) Do the uploading/cross-loading procedure of the DMC and DU software with new
EIS standard S16.
NOTE: This procedure decreases the time consumption on the uploading/

cross-loading procedure of the new EIS2 S16 standard software. In this
procedure, it is not necessary to upload/cross-load the DMC1 software
and thus it is possible to decrease the time consumption to 1h20min for
each aircraft.
NOTE: In this procedure, the master DMC (spare part) is used on each aircraft
as an alternative to the set of disks. A master DMC could also be
supplied by the supplier with the new EIS standard S16 software already
loaded.
NOTE: To make a master DMC, it is necessary that a minimum of one aircraft

must be uploaded/cross-loaded with the new EIS standard S16 software
with the set of disks.
NOTE: You can make one or more master DMCs as necessary.
1 Do the cross-loading procedure to make one master DMC.

a Remove and retain DMC2 from an aircraft already installed with the
EIS2 S16 software, refer to Ref. AMM Task 31-63-34-000-001.
