Project Brief

 The project aims to exposing and disseminating the

culture heritage of Saudi Arabia to the local as
well as global audience, with particular interest in
dealing with the central region of the Kingdom
of Saudi Arabia.
 Visitors to the village will enjoy testing, learning
and experiencing various aspects of Saudi life and
artifact as it has been known in the past, know
deeply about the contemporary evolving present,
and spark aspirations for a new age marching into
the future.
 Therefore, the main message of this project is to
present a culture dialog with the past in order to
interpret what is already constitute the culture.

 Briefly, the project should express the aspects of
the past merging with the modern technology
so that a fascinating experience as well as full
sensations of the Saudi cultural heritage can be
attained

 The Project sites are Located in Al Rafiah District

 1. Site 01 (with an area of 195 000 sq. meters).
 2. Site 02 (with an area of 185 000 sq. meters).

• Students should consider the Allowable Building

Ratio according to the municipality regulations.

• Students will source out and adopt a suitable

building shape / building form, for each building
block as requirement above.

Submission Phases
 Jury Requirements / Presentation:
 The project have several submission phases (as
indicated in the following schedule), each phase has
its detailed requirements that will be announced
sequentially, and however the main phases can be
summarized as following:
 1. Site Analysis data, photos and information
(Teamwork Research).
 2. Case examples (Individual).
 3. A Site Plan (Master Plan) showing the design
layout of all the various buildings, infrastructure
details, open space and landscape on the site
(Individual).
 4. Sectional Drawings, Urban design details
(Individual).
 5. Sketches and perspectives (Individual).
 All jury presentations and submissions shall include
Plans, Elevations, Sections, Sketches / 3-D; other
drawing details to be discussed as necessary.
