large volume of many of these units, fabrics used on the tank are typically heavier in weight and

Rain Water Storage

Pillow rainwater storage tanks are one of the most flexible options for rainwater collection and
feature a low profile tank that is able to sit comfortably under decks, patios, in basements or in an
outdoor storage area. Designed with your choice of either a drinking water or gray water
approved material, these tanks can help decrease water costs in your home or business location.

How a Rainwater System Works:

Implementation of a collapsible tank in your rainwater system will vary depending on your
storage options and connection requirements. One of the most common ways these tanks are
used is through connection to a downspout. One possible setup can be seen below:

1. As rain falls from the sky, it hits, collects and drains from the top of roof

2. As rain hits the roof, it flows down into the downspout

(Downspouts are connected to filters at the end)

3. Most downspouts will include a filter to help remove large debris and sediment. As water
flows through the downspout, leaves and debris are removed.

4. Water is then channeled through a hose which is connected to the pillow tank.

5. Pillow tanks can be filled with water for immediate use or storage.

6. At the tank's discharge, fittings and pumps are attached to move water out of the tank and
into sprinkler systems, irrigation systems or other utilities.

Gray pillow water tanks are designed specifically for stationary liquid storage. Often used in
industrial applications, constructions sites, and oil and gas operations, these tanks work to easily
storage for the duration of your project. Standard fitting options on most tanks include two 2"
fittings. However, adapters, larger fittings or other fittings can also be added as required.

Technical Specifications
Fabric: The fabric used for these pillow tanks can varying depending on your specific site
conditions or liquid storage requirements. These materials are designed for rigorous
environments and can store non-potable materials. A MSDS may be required depending on the
application and fuel type used to confirm the correct fabric type.

Contact Time: Each flexible tank has a rated contact time that ranges anywhere from 1 to 7
years. Standard fabric options will feature one of the following ratings: up to 1 year, 3-5 years,
up to 7 years. Please note that all contact times are designed to act as guideline only. The contact
time is built to as a rated amount of time the fabric has before it may start to change. Tanks have
lasted well beyond the contact time based on use and care.

Fittings: Standard fittings for the tanks includes (2) 2" fittings, although larger sizes including 4
through 6 inches (4" through 6") are also available.
