project, or thesis. A research question clearly defines a significant area of interest which
requires investigation.

Five questions for good research:

 What is the problem to be solved? Every good research

project solves some particulars problem.
 Who cares about this problem and why?
 What have others done?
 What is your solution to the problem?
 How can you demonstrate that your solution is a good one?

Question

Review of Literature:
 Past Research

 Effective Communication
It was observed that leadership and decision-making
problems were linked to the majority of challenges
encountered by management.
(Hedman & Valo, 2015; Neely

(Rana,2013)

Theorical Framework:
The theorical framework is the structure that can hold or
support a theory of the research study. The theorical
framework introduces and describe the theory that
explains why the research problem under study exists.

This point says that communication is a mechanical process that

passes from one location to the other. It is well established fact that
the one end is the sender from which the communication originates,
and the receives is where the communication terminates.
1) Classical Theories
2) Communist theory
3) Development communication theory
4) Standpoint theory
5) Actor-network theory
6) Adaptive structuration theory
7) Cognitive dissonance theory
8) Confirmation bias
9) Cultivation theory
10) Face negotiation theory

The need of theorical framework:

Introducing definitions of the concepts or variables in your model.

Developing a conceptual model that provides a descriptive
representation of the theory. Coming up with a theory that provides
an explanation for relationship between the variable in the model.
Variables:
Anything that can take on differing or varying values. The values can
differ at various times for the same object or person, or at the same time
for different objects or persons.

Examples of variables are production units, absenteeism.

Types of Variables:

Dependent
Variable

independent
Variables

moderating
Variable

1) Dependent Variable: It is the main variables that lends itself for

investigation as a variable factors. The dependent variables is the variable
of primary interest to the research. The researcher’s goal is to understand
and describe the dependent variables, or to explain its variability.
2) An independent variable is one the influences the dependent variable in
either a positive or negative way. To establish relationships, the
independent variable is manipulated.
3) The moderating variable is one that has a strong contingent effects on the
independent variables or independent variable relationship. That is the
presence of a third variable modifies the original relationship between the
independent and the dependent variables.

Qualitative interpretation:
 Transform raw data into valuable meaning
 To provide data with “meaning, structure, and order”
Data processing
 Reported interviews in a form of recording
 Transcribed the recording
 Disciplined, rational and systematic tagging and labelling
of the entire data set was used in the second stage of data
processing.
Data presentation
 Thick definition of contract apprehension codes were
applied and reapplied to the data for presentation

Data management:
 Interview material
Gathered using a digital audio recording system
 Data storage
Both information was safely and digital data backups were made

barriers that may be attributed to the sender or receivers. Therefore,
effective communication requires familiarity with the barriers.
Choosing the right channel for communication is also an important,
because choosing the wrong medium undermines the message.
Barriers may lead to your message becoming distorted and you
therefore risk wasting both time or money by causing confusion and
misunderstanding. Effective communication involves overcoming
these barriers and conveying a clear and concise message.
