Mindanao: I stand before you as Stephanie Kim Leong, and I am a senior high
school student. A candidate for the position of president of the student council.
Members of the Student Council did an outstanding job last year by modifying the
academic schedule to our needs, organizing, and improving living conditions.
However, the Council requires some regeneration; new representatives should be
brought in to complement the old ones' experience with their passion. This new
technique, in my opinion, maybe proved by a senior high school student. We all have
a clear choice to make in this election. It's either keep doing things the same way
they've always been done or elect leaders with new ideas and perspectives. And I
believe that my background and personality will enable me to develop new ideas.
You have one question in mind: why should we vote for you? Why should we
vote for you to be the student council president? Are you qualified for this role, and
are you a perfect match for it? Do you think you're deserving of this position?
There are 4 reasons you should vote for me to be the student council
president.
First, I am a well-organized, hardworking, and ambitious woman who will
constantly go above and beyond to ensure that all of our school's events run
successfully. Furthermore, my previous leadership experience in other groups will
manage a successful student council. Our school and everything it offers as two of
my favorite things. As a result, my strong school spirit motivates me to do everything
to ensure that every UMians has a beautiful and enjoyable year.
Second, I'd like to provide others the opportunity to take a chance. I may
promote a particular charity or a contribution drive. As a student council president
candidate, I also want to start community service projects or help other students in
need. These could save many more people's lives due to these programs.
Third, I am deserving of this position because I will be open-minded and
eager to collaborate with a wide range of people. Because I'll be starting a new job,
I'll seek advice from the people I'll be working with to serve the UMians better. When
it comes to making the UM a better university, my strategy is to evaluate all options.
Furthermore, I intend to be as accessible as possible to serve as a link between
students and faculty, administration, and staff.
Lastly, you should vote for me to leave a legacy together. If you elect me to be
the president of your student council, I will consider every one of your suggestions.
Being president is not a task that a single individual can complete. It is my
responsibility to represent your needs and voices. I am confident that you and I can
make a significant difference as your president. The difference that transforms a
senior high school experience into a life-changing adventure that each of us will
remember for the effect we have made as a community.
As candidate student council president, I promise to do everything in my
power to improve our school, implement your recommendations to make our
university better, live up to your expectations of me in this university, and meet the
institution's demands and requirements. I will do my best to exceed, not just meet,
expectations. You can entirely rely on me as the student council president; I am a
responsible, diligent individual who always does my job. I'm also accountable, and
creative, so I aim to organize informal and fun activities in the future, and I'll set
objectives, prioritize goals, and projects for our university. I'll be responsible for
completing them. I may not be the most well-known candidate for student council
president, but I pledge to pay attention to every single one of you. It would help if you
recognized yourself. It would help if you expressed yourself. Choose someone who
will not make all of your decisions. Please don't vote for the person who will pick
whatever their friends want them to choose. Select someone interested in serving as
your spokesman. Select someone who is invested in your goals. If you elect me as
your student council president, I vow to seek your input before making any decisions.
It would be best to have a say in what happens to you. You are free to come to me
with any thoughts you may have, and I promise to listen and speak for you.
