Key Descriptions
Escape
ESC Pressing the Escape Key once takes you back one level.

Select
Sel
When at the parameter level pressing select will move the cursor to the line of the
Display where the parameter value is. Then you are able to change its value. If the value
of the parameter is at a Bit level then repeatedly pressing the Select key will move the
cursor from one bit to the next (going from right to left).

Up and Down Arrows


Allows you to move between the different levels in the menu. When changing the
parameter value these will increase or decrease the value. The longer you hold down the
key the faster it changes the value.

Enter (This is the Universal key/Symbol used for “Enter”)


Pressing this key will select the Item Highlighted in the menu and take you to the
next level. Pressing this key when the value of a parameter has been changed will
then write the changed value to the drive.

Key Descriptions
Start
| Pressing Start will cause the Drive Output/Power IGBT’s to start modulating or put the
drive in a run condition. If no start inhibit is present, Mask, fault or alarm. If a digital input
is programmed for 2 wire control. The Start Button is disabled unless P192 Bit 1 = 1.
Once started the STS LED should be solid Green.

Jog
Jog From a stopped state press and HOLD Jog – this causes the Drive Output /Power
IGBT’S to start modulating and follow the speed reference of P100 Jog1. If no start inhibit
is present, Mask, fault or alarm. When the Jog Key is released - Then the Drive Output/
Power IGBT’s will stop modulating and the Drive will be in a stopped condition.

Backspace
Pressing Backspace will delete / remove the text immediately to the left of the cursor.

Stop
O Pressing stop will do one of the following based on P155 or P156 setting: Coast, Ramp,
Ramp to Hold, DC Brake or Fast Brake. If a fault is displayed and is resetable pressing
and releasing the stop key will clear the fault – when P241 is enabled.

Change Direction
Pressing the change direction key will cause the Drive/Motor to go in the opposite
Direction. Unless a mask is set to lock out this function. Or reverse disable P190

Digital Pot Up and Down Arrows

When the HIM is used as the speed reference. Either Press and hold or press and
Release repeatedly the Up/Down arrows. Will Increase/Decrease the speed.

The Numerical Numbers can be utilized to increase or decrease a


7 8 9 Parameter Value – when at a Parameter. When at the User display
window - these keys can be used to enter a speed reference. When the

ALT (using the ALT Key)
ALT
The ALT key is Color coded Yellow for 2nd function. This means whenever the ALT Key is
Pressed and Released the Keys that are labeled in Yellow text that is their 2nd function
And are now available to be selected within a 3 sec time frame. (See below for details).
Note: For the list below typically you will be at the “User Display” window.
(If after pressing ALT and the 2nd Function Key - nothing happens – then Press the ESC Key once.)
(Then follow the prompts in the display)
2nd Function S.M.A.R.T
S.M.A.R.T Pressing and Releasing the ALT key and then within Approximately 3 sec Press and
ESC Release the Blue ESC key Displays the “S.M.A.R.T ” Start-up menu.

Displays only the Top Line of the display and an oversized Display line 1

2nd Function Remove


Remove Pressing and Releasing the ALT key and then within Approximately 3 sec Press and
Release the Blue Enter key this Allows HIM removal without causing a fault (if the HIM is
not the last controlling device or does not have manual control of the drive).

A Value can be entered as an Exponent Displays the Parameter Menu

Key in any parameter number you want to go to - then Press and Release the Enter key. This will
take you to that parameter. Then you can Press and Release the Sel Key – Now you are able to
change the value of the parameter -with the Up/ Down Keys or the Numerical Keys – once the value
is changed -then you must Press and Release the Enter Key to write the change into the drive. Then
you can key in the next parameter or Press and Release the Esc Key to go back to any previous
Menu/Display.

Note: Changing Parameter 196 to a value of “1 Advanced” – allows access to all Parameters.
