Section One Installing Web Intelligence R3 Rich Client


Open a new browser window click https://prodreports3.mis.vanderbilt.edu

Enter your vunetid and e-password, click log on Make sure your Authentication is Windows AD

In the upper right hand corner, click Preferences

Click on Web Intelligence to expand the section

5. Click Desktop radio button, click OK, then click Install Now

IE install (browser specific screens)


1. Click Save

2. Change the save location to C:\Program Files, click Save

3. The download will begin

4. Navigate to your C:\Program Files folder, location the Websetup.exe. and double click to launch

5. Click Run

6. The program install will launch.

Firefox install (browser specific screens)


1. Follow installation pop-ups 2. Click Save File

3. Double Click executable

4. Click Run

Install continued (non-browser specific screens)


1. Click Ok

2. The Installation wizard will launch

3. Click Next

4. Click accept License Agreement, click next

8. Click Finish

Establishing appropriate System ID


1. Open a new browser window click on the URL shown here https://prodreports3.mis.vanderbilt.edu
Note you may be prompted to log in again, if you are please log in
***Preferences need to be set to open new webi documents in Desktop to continue***

2. Click Document List

3. Click New, select Web Intelligence document

4. When prompted by the yellow security warning, Click here for options and click download files

6. Click New, select Web Intelligence document

If prompted by Windows Firewall, click unblock

(Note: you are logged into Webi Rich Client at this point and may start writing reports. Otherwise, click cancel)

Click cancel

Note: For those who do not wish to launch the Webi Rich Client when making quick edits or viewing the data providers, go back to preferences and set the creation/editing tool back to Advanced.

Section Two: Launching Web Intelligence Rich Client


1. From Start Menu click BusinessObjects XI 3.1 BusinessObjects Enterprise Web Intelligence Rich Client

If prompted by Windows security alert, click unblock or allow access depending on your browser.
