1. Document Guide
This installation manual explains about the installation and operation process of the QXLink 3 program
made by Vieworks. With this manual, you can install our program conveniently.
Target
This manual is intended for the engineers who install and maintain the QXLink 3 program. The engineer
can fully understand about the organization and installation way of QXLink 3 through this manual.

1.1 Symbols
Before attempting to use Vieworks’ product or program, follow the safety instructions in this manual along
with the caution and information symbols. It is important for you to read and understand the contents of
this manual for operating the product safely.

1.2 Notation
Bold Types
We applied bold font style to the words which indicated products terms, or the words and sentences which
are needed to transmit clear meaning to the customers. This helps you to easily distinguish the words from
other technical ones for explaining functions.
2. Intended Use
QXLink 3 is a device that provides one or more capabilities relating to the acceptance, transfer, display,
storage, and digital processing of medical images. The software components provide functions for
performing operations related to image manipulation, enhancement, or quantification.
This device is not intended for mammographic operations

3. Getting Started
3.1 Prerequisite
The minimum specifications for operating QXLink Server and QXLink Viewer are as follows.

RAM More than 1 GB
HDD More than 16 GB HDD
4. Prgram Installation
QXLink Server recognizes the operating system automatically while installing the program.
5.2.1. Windows 7
1 Click the Start button and input Network and sharing center in the input box to execute.
You do not need to set the sharing environment if both server and viewer are installed in
the same computer.
5.3.1. Windows 7
1 Move to Local STORAGE Path configured in Sever by using Windows Explorer and select Properties.
3 Click Add button and input Everyone in the box and then click OK button.
The permissions for shared folders should be set everytime when Local STORAGE Path of
sever is changed.
QXLink Viewer recognizes the operating system automatically while installing the
program.
You can run both server and viewer under standard user account, not under administrator account.
7.1 Windows 7
2 Click the right mouse button on the Log folder to select Properties, and move to the Security tab.
3 Select Users in Group or user names and click the Edit button.
4 Select Users in Group or user names and check Allow to Full control item in Permissions for Users.
6 Set access permissions to the following folders same as the procedures described in <5.2.1 Windows
7>.
