Design Concept
Biophilic Design
Biophilic design is an approach to architecture that seeks to connect building
occupants more closely to nature. While it looks beautiful, biophilic design offers
many benefits other than aesthetic. We need nature in a deep and fundamental
fashion, but we have often designed our cities and suburbs in ways that both
degrade the environment and alienate us from nature. Many public spaces were
built with function as their top priority and comfort as an afterthought, meaning
that elements such as natural light, airflow, and atmosphere were not given much
attention. The introduction of biophilic design to buildings provides its users with
ways to reduce and release their stress, creating a healthier environment that
people are happier to be in.
Modern Architecture
It is a style that emerged in the early-20 th century in response to large-scale
changes in both technology and society. It is associated with the function of
buildings, approach from an analytical viewpoint, a rational use of materials, the
elimination of ornament and decoration, and openness to structural innovation.
Materials such as concrete, glass and steel were industrially manufactured
prevailed in this era. One of the overarching principles of modernism was that
‘form follows function’, meaning that design should derive directly from purpose
and embraced minimalism.
Form Concept
Butterfly
Butterflies symbolize spiritual rebirth, transformation, change, hope, and life. Just
like the goal of the project, to promote a change in our environment by educating
people in terms of exhibition, attractions, and live experience of the country's
flora hoping that people will learn and lessen human harmful activities that have
a huge impact on the environment. The project will not only benefit the
environment but also humans too.
