Multicolor Line Follower Kit

This document provides instructions for assembling and using a multicolor line follower robotic kit. The kit includes components like an Arduino UNO, shield, battery, wheels, sensor board, and color sensor. You assemble the chassis, connect the motors, sensor board and Arduino. Then you program the Arduino to make the robot follow lines of different colors on a chart using readings from the color sensor.

ASSEMBLY ( https://youtu.be/TAWQ24Ei-6A )
1. Take the acrylic robot chassis and other components of kit.

2. Mount the DC BO Motor on both the side of the chassis in correct

orientation.

3. Mount the wheels on the motor from the outer side.

4. Mount the castor wheel to the rear end of the chassis with help of
screws.
5. Mount the sensor module on servo motor and connect the colour sensor
to it.
6. Connect the sensor board in alignment with the horn arm.
7. Connect the colour sensor to the sensor board.

8. Mount the Arduino UNO and battery connector on the robot using
double sided tape.

9. Attach the Arduino shield on Arduino UNO.

10.Mount the servo motor properly to the robot.

11.Connect motor wires and battery connector wires to green coloured

terminal block connector on shield.

12.Join the ribbon from sensor board to Arduino shield.

13.Open the battery connector and insert the battery
14.The kit is ready

WORKING
1. Open web browser and go to www.tinyurl.com/help-linefollower
2. Double click and go inside line follower robot downloads folder
3. Download the Xloader file.
4. Also download robotic kit essentials folder.
5. The folder contains required HEX file for programming Arduino UNO.
6. Take Arduino uno and its cable from the kit and attach it to computer
7. Install Arduino software in pc. To program Arduino uno, open the xloader
file that was downloaded.
8. Open xloader.exe and click on browse hex file. Upload the
multicolor_line_follower.hex file.
9. Click on drop down button for devices and select CC01 and rename it UNO
and Select COM port of UNO.
10.Set Baud rate to 115200 and upload it.
11.Close after successful uploading.
12.Take any chart paper and make a road map that you desire the car to
follow with the help of Red, Green or Blue coloured tape.
13.Ensure that the colours are getting detected by the colour sensor first
before drawing the entire roadmap.
14.Once you are done with the assembly and all the connections, plug in
the rechargeable battery into the battery holder and place the
Multicolour line follower at the starting point of your road map.
15.Now you can observe how the car follows your desired road map.
