PLANT DESIGN PROCESS

1. Water will first be filtered through a Pressure Sand Filter (PSF) with the help of filter feed pump for reducing
suspended solids. Filtering media used in PSF is “sand”. Sand is supported on bed of graded pebbles.

2. It will then pass through an Activated Carbon Filter (ACF). Activated carbon is used as media for absorption of colour,
organics, and free chlorine etc.

3. After that it will be passing through an Iron Removal Filter (IRF). Iron removal media is used for the removal of iron.

4. The water will subsequently be collected in a Storage Tank of suitable capacity.
