Expectations

WELCOME

 Welcome to 6th grade!


 I’m looking forward to getting to know you and
having a great year.
 Have Positive Expectations!
 The Procedures we learn today will help us
create a Highly Efficient and Orderly Classroom.
Why Procedures?

 To know what is expected from you.


 Facilitate efficiency and save time.
 Human Nature is to have procedures.
From Class to computer room

 I will greet you in class and you will be


seated.
 You will line up along the wall quietly and
girls will enter lab first then boys.
 When you enter the PC lab please be seated
at your assigned computer terminal.
 Don’t move any chair without permission
 Prepare yourself for the session.
Seating chart according to numbering in
the class roster

Entrance
When session Begins

 Start your computer .


 Begin your warm-up exercise.
 Your warm-up exercise is Blogging about
your prior knowledge from last session.
 There should be no talking or moving about
during warm-up exercise.
Blogging Procedures

 Use suitable Font size, type and color like–


Times New Roman, Black, 14 points
 Write in complete sentences.
 Write about the assigned subject.
 Write until you are asked to close and save
your post.
 Use correct grammar.
 Silence in the room during Blogging.
General PC Room Expectations

 Respect others personal space including


not touching others.
 Be respectful of everyone and everything.
 Stand and Deliver using Proper language.
 Do not surf the Internet unless you are
instructed to do so.
 Allow others to finish speaking before you
start speaking.
General PC Room Expectations

 The computer laboratory is a specialist room


different from your usual classroom.
 Many expensive electronic devices are found
there, which are under the supervision of IT.
General PC Room Expectations

 Seek your teacher’s permission before:


– Accessing the internet
– Inserting removable devices/disks
– Changing any computer settings
– Moving, changing or deleting files on the computer
General PC Room Expectations
 Always
– Adopt a proper sitting posture
– Keep the computer laboratory clean
– Maintain silence and do not disturb other users.
– Keep Food and drink away from computers
– Move around the laboratory in an orderly manner
– Be responsible for the security of your passwords
General PC Room Expectations

 Report to your teacher any:


– Loose or broken cables
– Malfunction or Damaged equipment
– Unusual activities
Expectations During Instruction

 Please give the teacher your full attention.


 Do not talk while the teacher is talking.
 Please wait to be recognized by the teacher
before you begin speaking.
 Do not start assignments until the teacher
gives you the signal to begin.
Expectations During groups

 You will be assigned to a group.


 Within your group you will be assigned a role. For
example; facilitator, ambassador, reporter, etc.
 No sidebar conversations during team activities,
all team members focused on the task at hand.
 You must contribute to your team.
Expectations During Test

 Sit quietly.
 Listen to directions.
 Ask questions by raising your hand only.
 Keep your eyes on your work
 Cheating will be reported to parents and you
will lose points
.
Tutoring

 If you have questions that were not answered in


class or if you do not understand your homework,
contact with me over Edmodo site
Attention class!!

 If I said attention class and raised my hand,


instantly stop talking, face me, and also raise
your hand until everyone in the classroom
stop talking and I lower my hand.

NO EXCEPTIONS
From PC lab to Class

 Time up!!, save your work.


 girls exit lab first then boys. .
 You will line up along the wall quietly and we
will enter class together.
 When you enter the classroom please be
seated immediately.
 Prepare yourself for the next session.
Tardy Policy

 You will lose 5 minutes of your break time


 Parent contact will be made for repetitive
tardies
5 minutes of your break time will
be in the classroom if you late to
join the session
Consequences for Students Not
Following Rules

 1st Offense - Written or verbal warning


 2nd Offense - Sit in classroom refocus seat
 3rd Offense - You are sent to specialist and must
conference with your teacher
 4th Offense - Call parent ,Office Referral
School Rules and Policies

 All school rules will be enforced.


 Attendance and behavior will be logged by
class dojo.
 Remedial will be notified to parents via
Edmodo and e-mail

 Procedures and Expectations will enhance
your learning experience.
 I will give you my very best everyday and ask
the same from you in return.
