PROPOSAL FOR SETTING UP AN ENVIRONMENT CLUB


Heading: To promote environmental awareness and develop social and life skills,
we propose to set up an environment club.

Objectives: An environment club will make the students aware about the causes
of our degrading environment and its effect on various life forms. It will also
encourage the students to take necessary measures and precautions for
protecting our environment. An eco-friendly environment would also be created
among the students.

List of measures:

 The students from classes IX-XII can volunteer to be members of the club.
 The school garden shall be used for holding the meetings of the club which
shall be held every Saturday between 2:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m.
 The club membership fee will be Rs. 150/per month. Interested students can
get their names registered with Ms. M. Rizvi.
 Activities benefitting the environment like plantation drives, designing eco-
friendly scrap books, installing dustbins at appropriate corners and posting
effective slogans will be taken up by the club during its sessions.
 Talks and seminars by prominent environmentalists once a month, will be
helpful in enhancing the required interest of youth towards the environment.

I hope that this proposal gets accepted at the earliest so that we can pave a
future for a green and healthy globe/environment.
