• Develop and manage a communication matrix and protocol with the customer to ensure engagement

• Utilize project schedule and WBS to determine resource requirements and manages those resources
to meet project goals.
• Proactively manages both risks and opportunities and regularly communicates to the business and the

• Responsible for periodic updates of project financials including but not limited to revenue budgets, cost
budgets and forecasts, while maintaining communication to upper management/accounting on potential
risk and risk resolution for assigned orders or orders with same end-user/customers.
• Prepare and maintain a project status reports to be delivered to the customer on a regular basis
throughout the lifecycle of the project.
• Mentors and trains Project Managers and project team members in order to expedite development and
improve project execution.
• Assists Director of Project Management with overall project prioritization, resource allocation and overall
functional integration.

Key Highlights:
• Managed projects for Apple, delivered over a dozen projects contributing to over $40M in revenue.
Managed inspection projects for I-Phone and assembly projects for the Mac Notebook and I-Pad.
• Managed projects for Tesla, delivered several projects for both the Gigawatt factory and the automobile
production facility, a portfolio worth over $15M per year.

International technology company that supplies equipment to global semiconductor fabrication plants,
and also makes tools for nanotechnology applications used in optical networking, data storage and
automotive and display industries.

Business Development Project Manager


Ultratech
2010 to 2015
• Invited to lead the business development group based on exceptional performance and strengths
in project management and client services. Relocated back to San Jose to take on a hybrid role with
combined business development, client operations and project management accountability.
• Partner with Engineering and Marketing teams to determine new product / equipment opportunities
and manage the launch and commercialization of these offerings. Also support development of targeted
marketing and sales collateral for top OEMs, including Intel, Samsung and IBM.
• Serve as the single point of contact for clients throughout complex projects, from RFQ through
delivery of advanced semiconductor systems. Also plan, execute and control global product integrations,
equipment upgrades, system relocations and process improvements.
Key Highlights:
• Drove quarterly revenue increases of 25%+ -- for Field Service, Training, Applications and Parts Sales.
Achieved by improving productivity, streamlining processes and removing waste so that the team could
focus their energy on growth. This move also dramatically improved team morale.
• Delivered a departmental revenue increase of 30% in one year, from $32M to $42M.
• Led process and business system redesign projects that reduced staffing costs by 30%, increased
efficiency and resulted in revenue increases of 32%.
• Implemented a quality improvement program that increased on-time project delivery by 55%. Achieved
through process improvements to the team's project post-mortem analysis.
• Transformed the Customer Service group that was once considered an afterthought into a vital
contributor to Ultratech. Inspired the team to transition from a reactive, passive entity to a vibrant
revenue generator.

Account Manager
Ultratech - Portland, OR
2002 to 2010
• Promoted into a global leadership role, serving as worldwide field service and account manager for
Intel locations in the U.S., Israel, China and Ireland.
• Led a high-performing field team of 20+ in serving Ultratech equipment at customer sites and ensuring
customer satisfaction on a daily basis.
• Played a key role in negotiating new equipment sales and service contracts, regularly interfacing with
senior and mid-level managers from around the world.
Key Highlights:
• Set about an immediate plan to become a standout supplier with Intel, increasing the customer
scorecard from less than 80% to 95%+ within one year.
• Streamlined incident reporting, issue tracking and knowledge sharing through the development of a
web-based application and database that also managed parts ordering and part return and featured built-
in business analytics that tracked MTBF, MTTR, and equipment availability.
• Dramatically improved MTBI for Intel installed equipment, from 40 hours to over 2,500 hours.

Manufacturing Engineering / Field Service Engineer


Ultratech
1995 to 2002
• Initially hired as a manufacturing technician, specializing in final test and customer source inspections.
Quickly demonstrated ability to deliver operational efficiency and streamline problem solving and was
promoted to manufacturing engineering.
• Performance and commitment to customers made such an impact on Intel that the client made
acceptance of a challenged new system contingent upon my service as onsite Engineer-in-Charge (FSE).
Relocated to Portland to take on this role at Intel HQ.
• Led a team of eight FSEs in providing ongoing technical support and training to both employees and
customers. Served as the single point of contact between Intel and Ultratech.
Key Highlights:
• Introduced new procedures that increased productivity, improved quality and increased profitability.
Specific improvements include: increase of MTBF to more than 2,500 hours and MTTR to less than 24
hours.
• Earned the trust of Intel, enabling Ultratech to expand to 100+ systems worldwide within three years.
The company had originally targeted 10.
• Authored all of the preventative maintenance guidelines and procedures for Intel, which served as
a key component to improving MTBF. Several guidelines were subsequently adopted companywide at
Ultratech.
