A. Course Code and Title:

PED 5 | Technology for Teaching and Learning 1

B. Instruction/s: Read the following questions and answer comprehensively.

1. The use of technology can significantly influence both the teachers and the students in the
delivery of instruction. How are you going to use technology as a student and when you
become a teacher?
In my perspective, as a student I will used technology a tool in enhancing my
learning capability since we have already discovered how useful technology was
and I can testify that technology gives us a big help in learning since we cannot
just remain on the old tradition wherein, we only focus on the books and hard
papers but technology give us another face of reference wherein today we enjoy
the benefits that we acquire coming from the technology. I am not saying that we
are going to abandoned the old tradition instead we are going to combined the two
ways in enhancing and helping us understand our lesson, since we already how the
old tradition was, then I think it’s time for us to embrace the technological world
wherein we are given the opportunity to accept this changes that someday
somehow, we could live a life of success. In my point of view, when I become a
teacher someday, I will utilize the good benefit of technology that given to us, by
having those technology I could teach my student effectively since you are no
longer teaching by imagination instead there is already a simulation that was
happening, maybe we can remember when we are still studying in elementary our
teachers before will only tell us try to imagine that you are in outer space and try
to see the picture in the board as you imagine, maybe this situation could tell us
how important technology is since today teachers bring their student outside the
universe by letting them watch the videos on what’s happening outside in the
universe, as a teacher someday I will used technology as tool in making my
teaching strategies interactive by showing the real and not only by imagination
and this could happen through the support of technology.
2. Make a mind-map of the decisions you face concerning the implementation of ICT policies in
teaching-learning and the safety issues in ICT regarding cyberbullying.

3. As the educational environment has shifted from pure traditional classroom to a new
environment where digital technology is used, how would you describe the kind of educational
environment your school is presently upholding?

As of now our school is embracing the technological change in which we give

important to the technology but I am not saying that traditional teaching are being
abandoned instead we used the blended type of learning in which we used the
traditional method and also the digital teaching since as a teacher who manage to
teach student must understand the method of traditional teaching since it is
important for the foundation of the teacher, today our school give importance to
the support of technology since we can easily understand the lesson if we are
going to deal with the technology in which their the presence of tools in teaching
such as laptop, projector and even through the use of smartphone. These tools
became a support in ensuring our student to become effective learner and smarter.
This idea was tested in our situation right now that we can’t do the face-to-face
class and through the help of technology the school continues to tech with the
support of technology. The kind of educational environment that our school is
presently upholding is we are living with technology wherein we enjoy the benefits
that was given to us.
