Complete the sentence below:

In this interactive white board activity, the children will touch the board to first fill in the

data set, then fill in the bar graph and finally label the TAIL of the graph and learn about
creating a graph from beginning to end with a TAIL (Title, Axis, Intervals, Labels) and
using the data to answer questions pertaining to the graph.
Activity 1. This is a whole group activity; the class will come up with their
owgraph:
“What Is Your Favorite Color?”
2. I will use chart on the White Board to create a table for the data
set.
3. After that each student will come up and put a tally mark on the
color they want to vote for, with the reminder that the fifth tally
mark goes diagonally across the other four, to create a group of 5.
4. After counting all the tally marks for each color, one student will
write the total number of votes in each of the boxes.
5. One student will then write the Title for the graph and with label
“T”.
6. As a class, we will figure out the scale of the graph. One student
will then write the intervals and label it “I”.
7. Another student will label the 2 Axis with an “A”
8. Lastly, one student will go up and create the labels for the X and Y

questions provided in their math journals.
