INTRODUCTION

CHAPTER 1

“The study about having a low internet connection and its

impact to the studies of Grade 11 student of Genesis Academy

The research wants to know and to get a specific knowledge

about having a low connection of internet and its impact to

the students of Grade 11 students of Genesis Academy while

taking the new normal protocol that the

government .Implemented two years ago,until now many happened

in our situation today and many students were not able to go

outside to learn in their schools .

The Grade 11 students of Genesis academy are still in the

process of adjusting in their studying such as modules and

online class. Internet is one thing that can help the students

in their academic not just for their research to the certain

topic but specially to communicate using the stable internet

in their areas , and also to their respective schools,teachers

, and classmate .

Therefore, the internet is very important in every students

taking their activities in modular or online class. For the

past two years , a lot of students including the grade 11

students in Genesis Academy .

 CHAPTER 1

The researcher are planning to visit some area or students of

Genesis students that are using internet .The researcher wants

to know the effect of having a low and high internet

connection, what are the problems they are getting while using

the internet. And the researcher wants to know what are the

good impact of having a good internet connection. In their

studies and what are the effect of having a low internet

connection especially in the teachers.

The student of Genesis Children Academy obeyed the new normal

protocol of the government but they have high adjustment. Some

of the students of Genesis wants to use the internet even

though it has a poor connection . Because they want to prove

that they can handle the studies even in the midst of pandemic

Why is it important to study about having a low internet

connection and its impact to the students of Genesis Academy?

Because the researchers want to gain more information using a

research and what are the knowledge that are researcher gain

in conducting a study about the topic

So for our research title we want to express our though in

having a low internet connection in our school in Genesis

Academy we want to know more aspects in having a internet

connection and how the internet helps the student and teachers

of Genesis Academy Pili Branch in their perspective active.

of Genesis 11 student of Genesis Academy.”It talk about the

knowledge about having a low internet connection and its

impact to the studies of Grade 11 students of Genesis

Academy . The researcher wants to know the effect of having a

low internet connection in some areas because the researchers

believes that the internet .Is the main reason why the Grade

11 student of Genesis Academy is passing the modules that

given by their teachers.

And the internet helps the Grade 11 students of Genesis

Academy to learn the topic in every subject in their modules

and it helps the researchers to communicate the others

students that they need to interview especially that we are in

the midst of pandemic. The internet is very helpful in every

aspect especially in communicating learning. It also helps the

teachers to teach other students especially the Grade 11

students of Genesis Academy that takes the online class.

We would like to thank for our advicer Ms. Rose Ann Cuerdo for

motivating us in many reason. Through ups and down she would

do anything for us.

 Scope and delimitation of the study

The study focus on the impact of having a low internet

connection and the positive and negative effects when using

internets.

This study focuses to the student of Genesis childrens Academy

who are using internet with unstable connection or using

stable connection .There are the subjects of the

investigation. These will be a given set of questionaires.

Definition of Terms

These are the terms that were encountered in our research

Internet.An electronic communications network that connects

computer network and organizational computer facilities around

the world used with the expect when being used attributively.

Network. A fabric or structure of cords or wires that cross at

regular intervals and are knotted or occurred at the

crossings.
Wifi. Used the certifythe interoperobality of wireless

computer networking devices. And wireless technology used to

connect computers, tablets, smart phones and other devices to

the internet.

Module. This is learning module is an organized collection of

content presented together. A learning module can support a

course goal, a course objective, a subject , a concept, or a

theme.

Academics performance. This is the performance of every

students and the activities that every student achieving and

focusing for finishing to passed it on time.

Students. A person who is studying at a school or college and

making different activities and task.

Genesis childrens growth academy. A school where a students

studying and the school who giving to every student and

faculties staff a random beneficials.

Workers. The personnel that works especially at manual or

industrial labor or with a particular material. And the person

who work in many countries for their beneficiaries and finds a

stable jobs .

Impacts and effects of having low internet connection . Slow

internet connections have effect and impact to a student

falling behind academically.

Effect of the internet in the students .It can affect the

student in educational , physical , mental and emotional and

can affect the relationship for being socialized.

 Hypothesis of the study

The following hypothesis were tested in the study.

The internet has a significant carrying effects such as

positive and negative impacts to the community and specially

to the students.

Significance of the study

The result and findings of this study will beneficial to the

following.

Student. Many students who are using internets, but do not

know what is the effects of using internet in their

perspective daily life, so the purpose of the study is to

enlighten and it would help the students to know what are the

possible effect in using internet. It will help the students

to know the limitation of using internet connections.

Teacher. This study will help the teachers and it will give

the teacher, to know what are the significance of making

modules and giving a limit and perfect time to do an online

Class for their students and to do an explanation in every

task to use of the internet of the student for their research.

 Assumption of the study

This study was gained by the following assumptions.

1.If the students never use any internet connection there was

a possibility that they struggle in their academics because

there is no access for searching .

2 .Using internet in provinces or in the area has many of

tress, the students in that area was suffer and struggle in

their modules.

3.The Grade 11 students of Genesis Childrens Academy are the

respondents of this study in different cluster .

4.Definitely , using internets connection has a positive and

negative effect in many student while taking modular and

online class.

5. Internet may have bad effects in many student , however it

can help the student finish their works on time .

6. Internet has many access, it can use in many possible

situations like for academic, communication, working and other

social media flat forms.

 Statement of the Problem

This research wants to know what will be the impact of having

low internet connection to the students and their study of

Grade 11 student of Genesis Academy

Specifically the following questioned will be answer

1.What are the weaknesses of the student taking their modules.

2.What are the area has low internet connection

3.What are the strategies of the student for having not

totally affected of having a low internet connection .

4.What are the importance of having a stable internet.

5.How are some area that has unstable network affect the

students in the people in their community.

6.If there a problem in the students or the internet

connection if both of them didn’t work the students will be

the one who affected the most.

 CHAPTER 2

Review of related literature and studies

This chapter present the references of the study about low

internet connection and what is the importance of the study to

a student that researcher considered in strengthening the

present study. It’s also presents the articles of the study to

fully understand the research for better comprehension of the

study .

In this regard , the objections of this study is to asses the

inferuel connection capability and learning devices

availability of the students in their academic . Although we

are already in the technological are with the context of the

fourth Industrial Revolution {five} {Ackboard Al…2018}.this

minute organism provided a devastating affect to all . This

topic is all about knowing the affect of having a low internet

conncetion in Genesis Academy.

POOR COONECTION LEAVES PURAL STUDENTS BEHIND

According to a report from Michigan state University Quello

center. The Educational sethacks can have significant impact

on academic success, college a missions and career

opportunities.”We were surprised with low powerful the

findings were,”said keith Hampton, asocial director for

Research at the Quello center and and a professor in MSU

College of communication Arts and Sciences. Student without

internet access and those who depend on a cellphone for their

only access are half a grade point below those with fast

access. This gap has ripple effects that many last on entire

life.

*Broadband and student performance gaps

-Undersources the med for improved infrastructure in rural

communities. The report is based on data collected from

fifteen school districts covering Mecosta countries. Clair

country and the eastern Region.

Other Research from the Quello Center- Including laleah

Fernandez, Assistant director; Craig Robertson, Doctoral

Student; and Johannes Bauer, professor and director-

Contributed to the report .They collected and analyzed three

sets of data on student internet access. And academic

performance that included in-class surveys in 21 schools –

Results showed that

the most rural and socioeconomically disadvantaged student are

least likely to have broadband internet access at home.

Students with no high speed internet access at home are also

less likely to plan to attend a college or university. On the

other hand, Students with internet access have substantially

higher digital skills, which are a strong predictor of

performance on standardized tests.

Hampton study and he explained that the study is unique in

that it captured data form students who come from both high

and low income families who are without internet access

because it’s not available to them .

 Theotrical framework

Today’s situation especially the pandemic happen, internet is

the one thing many country that is very important for their

daily use internet is the one and mostly needed by the student

,wrokers and many personnel for their usage .

Based from Hans Dieter in order to understand the organization

and structure of a network like the internet it seem necessary

to develop a new vocabulary of description and explanation .

Some speak of the internet as an organism . But what is the

brain of the net and what it’s great but internet is not very

well suited for an appropriate understanding of the specific

processes which are happening in the internet.

On the other article some of the internet theory may affect

every students and so on using it . Usually the internet that

has a low access is usually the mostly affecting students who

study for their academics .The impact of the low internet

connection to every students was very specially to make a

study and the theories of it . So the Government finding outs

what’s the best and effectiveness to do to decrease the low

internet connection in every area.

illustrate the researcher’s conceptualization of the impact of

having a low internet connection in the studies of the

student.

The conceptual Parodigm

The input pertains to what are the reasons why internet

connection have effects to the Grade 11 students of genesis

children growth academy . There are possible significance to

solve the problem of having low internet connection. The

question is what are the various usage effect of the internet

to the students?

The process include the data collection and gathering data.

Reviewing of the possible happen and analysis of some data .

The output of the study is to propose the recommendation to

the impact of having low internet connection in the studies of

the student.

Research Design and Methodology

This chapter present the research design ad methodology and

overseeing this study. It integrated the sampling technique of

the study , the instrument used to gather the data, the step

by step procedure in the conduct of the study,and statistical

tools utilized in treating the area.

Research Design
The researchers used the descriptive method on this study.

This research allow us to know the effectiveness of using

internets and some issues and artic during the period of the

research .This method is used for further study for the result

of the research .

It also include the difference perspective of the respondent

to help the researchers to study and analyze the important

things in their research.

 Sampling Technique

Porposive sampling techniques was employed in the choice of

the study which was the Grade 11 student of Genesis Academy.

Total enumeration was used in the selection of the respondents

with regard to the researcher in the selection of respondents.

The respondents were the 50 grade 11 student of Genesis

Academy School year 2021-2022.

RESPONDENT OF THE STUDY

The respondents. Table 1 present the respondents of this study

that composed of 22 grade 11-cluster 1 and 28 grade 11 cluster

4 of Genesis Academy.

 Instrument of the study

Information gathering is the information that collected,

information must be gathered in an organized way to ensure

that nothing is over looked and the researcher called

information from the respondents and must be organize to

understand the study.

Validation of instrument

The instrument used in this study was validated by a set of

Grade 11 students composed of the researcher adviser and the

panel members. The researcher required to make some changes

revision, addition on the item in the instrument to be used.

Research should obeyed the suggestion ,and recommendation of

the adviser for approval and go signals.

Frequency count. This was used to determine the percentage of

the respondents of the study.

Weighted mean. This was used to determine the impact of having

low internet connection to the Grade 11 students of Genesis

Children’s Growth Academy.

Five point Rating scale . The scale was used in quantifying

and interpreting the weighted mean for each indicator included

in the study with the following interpretation.

Negative impacts of having low internet connection to the

Grade 11 students of Genesis Childrens Growth Academy .

The age of the students was into 4 sets , including

14,15,16,17 and above.But of 50 respondent there were only 7

students with age of 16 with percentage of 43 students with

age of 17 above with percentage of 86. In total, there are 50

respondent with 100 percent Grade 11 student of Genesis

Children’s Growth Academy. As respondent of the study .

Summary, Findings ,Conclusion and Recommendations

SUMMARY

This study aims the impact of having low internet connection

to the grade 11 student of Genesis Academy .

It aimed to answer the following question:

I.The profile of the students in terms of

1.What are the profile of the respondent including their

age,gender,and section.

2.What are the impacts of having low internet connection to

the students?

3.Is there a significant effect of having low internet

connection to the cluster 1 and 4 Grade 11 student of Genesis

Children’s Growth Academy?

FINDINGS

The descriptive – Evaluate inferential method with documentary

analysis was utilized . The respondent of this study were the

50 Grade 11 cluster 1 and cluster 4 of Genesis Academy. They

had answered the research – made questionnaire .Statistical

tools used where frequency account, percentage, weighted mean.

1.Profile of the students

1.1 Age . The age of the 50 respondents of this study are

consisted of Grade 11 student cluster 1 and 4 of Genesis

Academy. They are categorized as 14,15,16,17 and above . As a

result , the age of 14,15 are the lowest total number that has

zero frequency and percentage . Respondents that has aged of

16 is ranked the lowest with total number of 7 and has

percentage of 14, and the respondent age 17 and above are

ranked the highest with the total number of 43 and has

percentage of 86.

1.2 Gender. The 50 respondents of this study are consisted of

grade 11 cluster 1 and 4 students that has a 15 males and 35

females.

1.3 Section . The respondents of the study camo from cluster 1

and 4 grade 11 students of Genesis Academy.

2.The impacts of having low internet connections to the

students .

The researcher are investigate to the impacts of having low

internet connection. Students now a days are the affected

because of the unstable internet connection that affected

their learning activities. It goives the student hard impact

especially those who are living in some areas that has a low

internet connection, it can affect the students bacdemic

performance even their mental health it will affect also.

Specially when their activities are difficult to understand in

their modules they will search for answer in way of internet

so once the internet are not stable, the students will

affected.

3. The impacts of having low internet connection to the grade

11 students was interpreted as neutral:There are times that

you have difficulty in yoor study when the intern is not

stable [3.28].Your activities affected when the internet is

not stable as neutral[2.64].You have unfinished activities

because of the low internet connection as neutral [2.72].There

are time that you have delayed email communication because of

unstable internet connection as neutral[2.76]you experience

lack of sleep just because of waiting the for sufficient

internet access as neutral[2.84]. You still find ways to

answer your modules without internet connection as neutral

[2.66]. You think there are possible solution if you cannot

use your internet connection as neutral [2.92].You still go

outside to get some signals as agree[2.54]. The impacts of

having low internet connection to the grade 11 students

cluster 1 and 4 of Genesis Children’s Growth Academy as a

neutral .It has also a good impact or advantage to the student

because they will not able to use internet that interassuring

to the students while they taking their activities.

Base on the findings , the following conclusion are given and

concluded the conclusion were summarized as follows:

1.It can be seen that the number of this study are coming from

Grade 11 students cluster 1 and 4 with the total number of 50

students. It can be seen that the respondents has a number of

22 from cluster 1 and 28 from cluster 4 which have a 15 males

and 35 females at the age of 16 is the lowest, followed by 17

above which is the highest.

2.Most of the indicators are interpreted as neutral , it can

be seen that “The impact of having low internet connection

that affect the students “have the highest percentage , and

there are come interpreted as agree, strongly agree, disagree

and strongly disagree.

3.Some of the indicators are interpreted as agree, it can be

seen that the “They will still go out to get some signal,and

thre are problems in their respective area for having a low

internet connection” got the second highest percentage , and

there are some interpreted as strongly agree, disagree and

strongly disagree.

The following recommendations were drawn from the findings and

conclusions of the study

1.If you can still use books or other primary resources that

will help you answering your modules then use it instead.

2.Download other app that will help you in your activities

that will not us internet connections.

3.choose modular activities and borrowed books to your adviser

to help uing internet connection.

4. Find other ways to answer your activities eventhough your

not still using internet connections.

Recommendation for future study

1.Make a study that similar to help the students cope about

having low internet connection.

2.Study more about student weaknesses about having low

internet connection to help them escape from difficulty of

answering their modules or activities.

3. Make similar study on how to solve the problems of having

low internet connection in their respective studies.
