Why Do We Make Mistakes?

“You can only go forward by making mistakes” – a simple yet brilliant phrase
that Alexander McQueen stated. This is an excellent saying that should be remembered
daily. It will make us more confident in attempting new things, in the face of our fear of
trying things that are new to us. Mistakes, in my opinion, are a good thing since they
help me develop. Keep in mind that the first step to success is failure. Everyone makes
errors and we're going to have to learn from them.

As I scrutinized the entirety of the article, I was able to highlight the errors that
I make when I write my works. As a matter of fact, it came to me that I needed to
improve on three things: missing commas, superfluous commas, and sentence sprawl. I
think it's a wonderful idea to bring it up in order to correct it, because if it's not brought
up, it won't be addressed.

As an extrovert, I always seem to forget where commas may be placed when I

speak, as I speak without stopping and I tend to disregard empty lacunae in my
phrases. When I write, words and thoughts flood through my mind and my hand types
whatever comes to mind without concern for punctuation marks. I feel it is critical to
remember that commas are crucial in essays because they signal a tiny break in our
sentence; without them, it would be difficult for readers to grasp what we are trying to
convey.

The initial grammatical error I stated has resulted in another grammatical error.
The fear of forgetting where I put my commas has driven me to put too much in a
sentence. It makes me question why I use so many commas; is it because I use them
unnecessarily, or is it because my sentences are too complex?

Knowing that I am an extrovert, I do not always think before I speak. This

causes me to utter anything that comes to mind. Similarly, when composing my works,
as ideas rush through my head, I have a tendency to cram too many concepts into a
single sentence. There's a part of me that believes all similar concepts should be
grouped together in a single sentence. It prevents me from having to split them up into
several sentences.

By mentioning the grammatical errors I discovered I have, I consider it as an

opportunity to enhance my manner of writing. I truly believe that reading better
literature daily is an essential element in helping me overcome all these mistakes I
make when I compose my paper. Firstly, I will be able to train myself to recognize
when and when not to use commas in my sentences. Secondly, it will help me develop
several writing styles because I can study how great authors write their work. Finally, it
will aid in my grammar and sentence fluency improvement.

Don't be scared to make errors since they can always be corrected. Make as
many errors as you can so that you can learn from them as time passes. The more
mistakes you make, the more lessons you will learn.
