Glossary – iMonitor & iAccess
⚫ iMonoitor and iAccess are the two main services of FATEK IoT
⚫ iMonoitor
➢ Allow user to control/monitor many specific registers, even the these belong to the different HMI(PLC).
➢ Support the real time trend for each specific register
➢ Support the alarm function for the specific registers. And the announcement methods include SMS and
e-Mail and App Notification
➢ Support data log for the specific registers.
➢ Support historic trend for watching the data log data
➢ Support HMI(PLC) GPS monitoring function (iLocation). The map view is easy to know the device
location.
⚫ iAccess
➢ Allow user to control/monitor registers on the specific HMI(PLC)
➢ Allow user to maintain HMI(PLC) remotely, including download, upload, and passthrough.

4 FATEK Automation
Glossary – Dataitem
⚫ Dataitem is a general name for the specific registers on iMonoitor or iAccess.
⚫ Dataitem could be an internal register in HMI or an external register in the link device(PLC).
⚫ Dataitem supports these function:
➢ Read/Write Data
➢ Data log (iMonitor only)
➢ Alarm (iMonitor only)

5 FATEK Automation
Glossary – HWID, Service Password, and LID
⚫ The three important items are in HMI system setting
⚫ HWID is the unique and unchangeable ID. It has been decided in the manufactory. When you
configure the device(HMI) in your a FATEK IoT project, you will need it.
⚫ Service Password is the password for iMonitor and iAccess.
⚫ License for iAccess, provided by dealer. It can not reuse for other devices when it's activated.

- Device Setting

If your HMI project (FvDesigner) has link devices (PLC),you may be set the
link device first, before configuring an external register as a Dataitem.

Important:
The settings for HWID and Service Password in the device setting must be same with ones in HIM system

setting. If you set them on the web first, please don’t forget to set them on HMI, otherwise the FATEK IoT(HMI)
never be enabled.

Hint:
The rule of register string validity is same with FvDesigner. We
recommend to copy the register string from FvDesiger first,
especially the Dataitem is an external register. It can guarantee
the string validity. In the future, we will provide the register string
validation function on the web UI.
