Gladys: On this special day, graduates and their family are gathering with us, all with

delighted spirit and pride, despite the fact, that we are still dealing with the threat of a
COVID-19 pandemic.

Edward: The journey to obtain knowledge at this school has finally come to an important
stage. Today, we are celebrating your hardwork and achievements, as well as the
camaraderie that has been built over the past 6 years.

Gladys: Btw, I am Gladys Mier-Pontongan.

Edward: And I am Edward Anaviso,

Gladys x Edward: Your masters of ceremonies for this event!

Edward: On behalf of the organizing committee, we extend our appreciation for your
presence today.

Gladys: Ladies and gentlemen, we are about to begin the program. Please all stand for we
shall now welcome the class advisers, PTA officials, special guests, department heads and
coordinators, assistant principals and the principal of Kidapawan City National High School
in their processional!

(PROCESSIONAL)

Edward: Please remain standing for the singing of the Philippine National Anthem. To be
followed by the doxology, Regional Hymn and Kidapawan Hymn to be led to us by the
selected SPA students.

(SINGING OF ANTHEM, DOXOLOGY AND HYMNS)

Edward: Please be seated.

Edward: After over 2 years of school-building closures, online classes, modular approach
and home visitation, Kidapawan City National High School has gradually joined the
nationwide re-opening of schools and has re-opened its doors for students, teachers and
faculty members to carry out limited face-to-face classes and academic gatherings. And
today, we are grateful for this opportunity to celebrate the success of everyone involved.

Gladys: It is with great honor to be here with you today being part of such an important
milestone in your lives, your graduation. Today, we are about to witness how our graduates
and completers finished the first lap of the race despite of all the adversities they have
encountered. / To quickly recover from difficulties and challenges we are facing, we Filipinos
can proudly can that we are resilient to that, and our graduates are the living proof that if
you keep believing and keep on going, you will definitely succeed.
Edward: To our visionary and highly ethical leader Schools Division Superintendent, Dr.
Natividad G. Ocon, CESO VI, / together with our ever engaging and brilliant Assistant Schools
Division Superintendent, Dr. Meilrose B. Peralta, our CID Chief Dr. Ronela S. Molina and
SGOD Chief Sir Remegio Orias, to our Regional Director of DEPED-SOCCSKSARGEN Dr. Carlito
D. Rocafort, DIRECTOR IV represented by the Assistant Regional Director, Sir Rebonfamil R.
Baguio, DIRECTOR III.

Gladys: To our harworking and zealous school principal Dr. Rosalinda T. Lonzaga, Principal IV
/ assistant principals, department heads and coordinators, faculty and staffs, teachers,
parents … / Good morning and welcome to the 5 th SHS Virtual Graduation Exercises with the
theme,

Gladys x Edward: “K to 12 Graduates: Pursuing Dreams and Fostering Resilience in the Face
of Adversity.

Edward: A very warm greetings to all us who are here today, especially, our key officials,
guest of honor and speaker, and online viewers who are watching this program via
Facebook livestream.

Gladys: Without further ado, to formally welcome everyone, may we call on to the stage,
our SHS Assistant to the Principal in Academics, Dr. Glady E. Pagunsan for his opening
remarks.

(OPENING REMARKS)

Gladys: Thank you so much Sir for that warm welcome.

Edward: To deliver her words of welcome, please join us in welcoming the student With
Highest Honors garnering 98% from Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics
strand, Trixia Lorraine G. Letada. (a big hand please)

(WELCOME ADDRESS)

Edward: Thank you, Trixia. Indeed, today is the grand celebration of all your milestones and
sacrifices.

Gladys: At this juncture, we shall now remotely witness the warm message that would be
worth remembering from our honorable Secretary of Department of Education, Ma’am
Leonor Magtulis-Briones.

(MESSAGE)

Gladys: Thank you so much Ma’am for your inspiring message. (Surely, the beautiful thing
about learning is that, no one can take it away from you.)
Gladys: This most awaited and momentous event will never be made possible without the
support of the equally and highly esteemed individual from the Department of Education -
SOCCSKSARGEN, our Regional Director, Dr. Carlito D. Rocafort, DIRECTOR IV for his message
to the graduates.

(MESSAGE)

Gladys: Thank you so much Sir for your motivational message. (Truly, success is the ability to
go from one failure to another.)

Edward: To set this virtual graduation exercises more inspirational and motivational, we
shall now hear a message from an accessible and consultative leader with unquestionable
integrity, our Schools Division Superintendent, Dr. Natividad G. Ocon, CESO VI. (Let us give
her our undivided attention)

(MESSAGE)

Edward: Thank you so much Ma’am for your words of wisdom. (Always bear in mind that
the toughest journeys are the most rewarding.)

Gladys: At this moment, to formally recognize all of you, please help us welcome, our ever
dynamic, goal-oriented and outstanding school principal, Dr. Rosalinda T. Lonzaga, Principal
IV to present the graduates. This will be followed by the acceptance and confirmation by our
Schools Division Superintendent, Dr. Natividad G. Ocon, CESO VI.

(PRESENTATION AND CONFIRMATION OF GRADUATES)

Gladys: Congratulations, graduates! You may surely give yourself a pat on the back for
completing your academic journey and showing your resilience in this unprecedented time.

Edward: To introduce the guest of honor and speaker is the student With Highest Honors
garnering 98% from Humanities and Social Sciences strand, Henrich C. Cartagenas. (a warm
of applause please)

Gladys: Thank you so much Sir for gracing and supporting City High all the way, especially,
during this glorifying moment for our graduates.

Gladys: To award the plaque of appreciation to the guest of honor and speaker is the

Edward: The most awaited part of this occasion has finally come, the presentation of the
graduates as well as those with distinct honors and special awards. To do the honor of
presenting the graduates and awardees of SY 2021-2022, we shall now welcome the class
advisers.

Edward: Once again, congratulations, graduates!

Gladys: At this point in time, may we call on Jello C. De Los Reyes, With Highest Honors
garnering 99% from the STEM strand, to give her appreciation message to the newly
graduates of SY 2021-2022. (Let us usher her with our collective applause.)

(APPRECIATION MESSAGE)

Gladys: Thank you, Jello, for that wonderful message.

Edward: Now, may we have Carmela May Q. Andam, With Highest Honors garnering 98%
from Accountancy, Business and Management strand, to deliver the pledge of loyalty.

(PLEDGE OF LOYALTY)

Gladys: As they say, music is the language of the soul. Through a song that emphasizes
finding hope to pursue our dreams and resiliency in spite of difficulties, parents, guardians,
and friends, let us lend our ears to the graduates as they sing their graduation song entitled
“Rise Up”.

(GRADUATION SONG)

Gladys: Thank you, graduates, for that euphonious and heartwarming song. It was not only
emotionally rewarding but uplifting.

Gladys: Once again, congratulations, graduates and, most especially, to the proud parents.

Edward: We have now come to the end of this program, but before that, we shall now hear
the closing message from our very own school principal, no other than Dr. Rosalinda T.
Lonzaga, Principal IV. (a resounding applause please)

(CLOSING MESSAGE)

Edward: Thank you so much Ma’am for sealing this program with your message of
gratitude.

Gladys: This concludes our virtual graduation exercises. The next school year will bring a lot
of changes following the transition to better, bigger and bolder face-to-face classes. In spite
of this, graduates and completers, may you continue to do your best to complete the tasks,
overcome all the challenges, sharpen necessary skills and be ready to welcome the
university and college life.

Edward: To end this program, we would like to leave a thought for you, in achieving your
dreams, it must come with actions like prayers must. If opportunity does not knock, then
you have to build your door, a door of success and greatness because you did not finish SHS
just to watch yourselves do nothing and master the art of being lazy and irresponsible. Your
journey does not stop here so live life and fill your dreams. As the cliché goes, dreams do
come true.
