I. OBJECTIVES:
At the end of this lesson, the students must be able to:
a. Explain what is quadratic equations.
b. Give example of equations transformable to quadratic equation.
c. Identify the equation that is transformable to quadratic equation.
d. Solve equations transformable to quadratic equation.
III. PROCEDURE
A. Primary Activity
B. Motivation
D. Discussion
Solve x(x-5)=36
Solutions:
Step 1: to write quadratic equation in
standard form, simplify the expression
x(x-5)=36.
X2-5x=36 - Distributive Property.
For x=-4
x(x-5)=36
-4(-4+5)=36
16+20=36
36=36 - True Yes teacher.
