Abstract
This research was carried out in order to assess and determine the
Perception of Hospitality Management Students Towards the Quality of Online
learning at the University of Rizal System Morong Campus.
iv
The study used the descriptive method research design. And the students
chosen at random. The study used the 100 total populations of the third year
college students of Hospitality Management as the respondents of the said study.
They were described in terms of age, sex, civil status, monthly family income and
the medium used at their online learning.
It is concluded that most of the Hospitality Management students that
participated in the study belong in the 20–22-year-old age range, is part of the
lower end of the monthly income range, and mainly uses cellphones in attending
classes for their online education. This implies that not every student has the
access to personal computers or laptops for their education, due to their monthly
family income.
According to the findings, Computer Competence, Technological
Knowledge, Social Presence, Information Management, and Skills Application
are all perceived by the Hospitality Management students as factors that affect
the quality of their online learning. The hospitality management students were
able to adapt to the online learning environment due to their knowledge in
utilizing technology and having a good facilitator during online learning sessions.
The online learning received by the hospitality management students were able
to provide skills that they are confident that they can apply to their future
professions.
Based on the information gathered, the researchers came up with the
following recommendations. The Researchers recommend finding more possible
factors that can affect the students’ perception on what affects their quality of
v
learning. Adapting a pedagogy that allows for a combination of online
technology’s accessibility and face-to-face education’s social presence.
