Commonwealth Games

Media coverage entails RSS feeds, blog articles, and video content. Media can have a

direct impact on sport’s capability for attracting commercial sponsorship. On the other hand, lack

of media coverage can have important effect on sustainability of female athletes, competitions

and sports. The main channel for media coverage was channel seven. On July 29 channel seven

has enhanced the sporting events through launching of their Commonwealth Games coverage

(Scott, 2022). This is the peak of maybe once in a lifetime sport calendar that has taken place in

Tokyo Olympics, the Paralympics, the Beijing winter Olympics and the Commonwealth Games

all airing on seven in a duration of 13months.

The main difference between seven channels and other media channels across the world

was the time and technology used. On Seven’s coverage Commonwealth Games was based on

Sydney remote broadcast center (RBC) whereby it’s linked with Birmingham 2022 international

Broadcast Center (IBC) through diverse high-speed fiber connections carrying 30 live HD games

feeds into RBC. Two live production control room was being featured by the production squad in

programs production for Channel Seven, 7Two and 7mate. The studio for hosting has LED wall

of 15-metre ultra-high definition for live pictures and graphics with 5 cameras. This includes

Steadicam and jip and also augmented authenticity graphics. This all help for connection of

viewers and hosts with on-site sports, commentators and reporters. Martin said, “we relied on

two things: good people and good technology.”

Commonwealth Games for the 2022 edition was concluded and various countries has

their reaction. For India, the exercise was satisfactory as the country ended while on the fourth

on the medal table. Therefore, the aim for image building, showcasing organizational ability and

overlook the aspect of the Games being more complex and bigger and also becoming expensive.

Therefore, soaring cost factor is what countries have to take very close look.

Furthermore, social media bellowed with comments from media consumers both at the

stadium and homes across the world. Most of them was praising the creativeness of curtain-

raising occasion while some was scornful on display. On Birmingham city center, famous Bull

that welcomes shoppers was a praised stunning recreation by contributors saying “incredible

representation.”

In addition, other media consumers across the world reacted what was displayed. This

entails prosperity, democracy, peace and goal sharing. This lead to various benefits which entails

Commonwealth Games Federation (CGF) has a role globally for leadership in uniting

Commonwealth’s citizens, communities and athletes through transformative and linking power

of sport. Motivated by the dynamism and diversity of Commonwealth itself together with its

endurance on human rights, the rule of law and democracy commitment. Nowadays,

Commonwealth Games Federation is extreme more than the custodian of abundant games. As a

foundation of Commonwealth itself, the movement of dynamic sports is carried on by its values

of Destiny, Equality and humanity. This has a role to play in engaging, energizing and making

Nations and Territories of Commonwealth active. Every organization together with individual

working and supporting the mission is part and parcel of Commonwealth sports movement.

The similarities among media coverage. The internet is irreplaceable between all the

media that were consume though entire coverage of Commonwealth Games. The purpose of this

coverage was mainly airing of Commonwealth Games to the audience. The TV and Radios

across the globe what they have in common is that they are channels of communication

(Gogishvili, 2022). What makes internet unique is that the audience has no means of replying to

them. Internet utilizes two way traffic. And it is that specific characteristics that has enables it in

transforming communication. Other similarities includes analyzing, evaluating, and using,

passing information.
