Bartending Script

1 SMILE
2 Apply 5-feet/10-feet rule
10-feet distance of the guest from the bar( eye-to-eye contact and smile)
5-feet distance of the guest from the bar( greet the guest with appropriate
greetings)
Offer a seat in the bar top
3 Welcome the guest/s to the bar by saying:
Good day dear guests, welcome to Danawan Pavilion Bar. My name is Michelle
and I will be your bartender. How are you doing tonight?
( if they have positive response to the question) reply with: great to hear
that!
By the way, how may I address you? ( by last name, first name, sir/ma'am…)

Please to meet you [ Guest/s name/s]


4 BUILD RAPPORT (a close and harmonious relationship in which the people or groups
concerned understand each other's feelings or ideas and communicate well)
start by complimenting guest with their; looks, dress, ….)
start by addressing them by their preference
start by making them feel at ease or comfortable
5 SMILE
6 BAR SERVICE PROPER
Acknowledge guest/s by placing a cocktail napkin in front of them
Inform guest with the Specials or Promos of the Day
Offer the menu
Offer or Suggest a drink/s
Compliment each guest's drink choice
UPSELL : Offer a premium brand spirit to substitute the pouring brand spirit of
the cocktail ( additional sales for the bar, and better cocktail experience for the guest)
Always address the guest by their preference whenever you speak to them and
make eye-to-eye contact ( personalized service )
Offer or suggest a bar snack/s that will accompany their drinks
Repeat Guest order/s
Thank the guest/s for their orders and their orders will be serve in a short while

Drink Preparation:
1 drink must be mix in 1-3 minutes
For multiple order; Mix drinks with the following order: blended, Shake &
Strain, Build
Always begin with the glass to be use
The glass for Shake/ Stir & Strain must be pre-chilled in the glass chiller,
if n/a use ice chilling method
If two of the same drink was order, do it together in a Boston Shaker for
fast and efficiency
(for specific procedure of each cocktail, refer to Cocktail Concoction on
sheet 2)
Always show the label of the bottle to guest every time you pour
Always use appropriate measuring tools in pouring ingredients
Impress the guest/s by doing some working flair while mixing the drinks
Keep talking to the guest even if you are mixing the drinks
Serving the Drink:
Ladies first going to right side of the guest
As you serve the drink, mention the name of the drink to the guest
(It would be nice to tell something about the drink, a trivia for example)
Ask if there is anything else they need?, If none, tell them you'll check
back on them, time to time
Enjoy your drinks
Once the drink reach about half full to 1/4 full, ask the guest how was their
drink and offer another one.

Billing Out
Always use bill folder to present the bill to the guest
If the guest pays cash: count the money and inform the guest before
leaving their site
say: Mr/Ms [guest name], I receive [amount of money], Thank you
and I'll get back to you with your receipt
If the guest pays card: acknowledge the kind of the card you receive
say: Mr/Ms [guest name], I receive [VISA/MASTERCARD],
Thank you and I'll get back to you with your receipt
Present the receipt with pen for the guest to sign, and give his/her
card together with the transaction receipt, Thank the guest
Bid goodbye
You can inform the guest with your bar's other promos or specials on
different days and invite them to come and check it out.
Bid guest goodbye, thank them for coming and wish them a safe travel
home
