FUTURE OF COMPUTERS
Every year, as in any other field, in the field of technology, there have been great changes.
Computers have now become an integral part of our professional and personal lives.
We are witnessing the great changes that they have had since they were created, but how will this
change continue.
What will computers be like in the future?
Today computers are in virtually everything we touch, all day long. We still have an image of computers
as being rectangular objects either on a desk, or these days in our pockets; but computers are in our
cars, they’re in our thermostats, they’re in our refrigerators. In fact, increasingly computers are no
longer objects at all, but they suffuse fabric and virtually every other material. Because of that, we really
do need to care about what the future of computing holds because it is going to impact our lives all day
long.
In the future the memory elements will become smaller and more efficient, and the processors will
become more powerful and smaller. The so-called "multicore" processors have long been replacing
classic computers.
Human-computer communication will be introduced in new ways by 2030. Information and commands
will not be given through keyboards or mice, but through new forms that will be much more interactive.
Perhaps the future of computers lies inside of us. Teams of computer scientists are working to develop
computers that use DNA to process information. This combination of computer science and biology
could lead the way to the next generation of computers. A DNA computer might have several
advantages over traditional machines. For example, DNA is a plentiful and cheap resource. If we discover
a way to harness DNA as a data processing tool, it could revolutionize the computer field .
