Appeal of Comics (Prototype)

Figure 1.1 represents the appeal of the prototype comics to the residents.

The pie chart shows how residents perceive comic books to be appealing. The

top response rate of 12 out of 40 was extremely appealing (30%). Among the others, 25

percent rated it as very appealing, 25 percent as appealing, 17.5 percent as somehow

appealing, and 2.5 percent as not appealing.

Most of the respondents find comic books to be extremely appealing for the

following reasons; First, comics use characters and terms that catch the attention of

young readers. Second, it does not use many words or sentences that might bore the

readers and delivers good values and manners more lightly.

Based on the survey results, as shown in the pie chart, it is clear that residents

view comic books as an appealing prototype, making them an entertaining way to learn

lessons.
