If x = –1 and y = 2 is a solution of kx + 3y = 7, find the value k.
4. In which quadrants the points (–5, 2) and (2, – 5) lie?
5. If the coordinates of the two points are P (–2, 3) and Q(–3, 5), then find the value of (abscissa of P) –
(abscissa of Q).
6. Angles of a triangle are in the ratio 2 : 4 : 3. Find the measure of smallest angle of the triangle.

An exterior angle of a triangle is 105° and its two interior opposite angles are equal. Find the measure of
each of these equal angles.
7. In triangles ABC and PQR, ∠A = ∠Q and ∠B = ∠R. Which side of ∆ PQR should be equal to side AB of ∆
