I. Business Introduction

We are now living in the era of innovation and technological advances. Most of our

works are incorporated to the computer that gives us softcopy and will always be partnered with

hard copy or printed papers. Printed materials are always ready and easy to use for students,

teachers, employees, and companies. Students and teachers are required to have a printed materials

in school to use in their academic work and discussions. Despite the fact that there are emerging

new ways and digital enhanced materials, there is no doubt that printed materials still bring in the

most benefits to students in learning. According to the survey we conducted, we found out that

82% of the respondents preferred using printed materials than using digital materials to use in their

study and work. Print materials can serve as a reference when students review previously learned

information. In terms of business works, printed materials builds a credibility especially in reports,

narratives and contracts. However, due to the limited number of printing services present in the

community the students, teachers, employees and the general public are having difficulties

searching for it. Supported by the survey that shows that 79% respondents don’t easily find printing

services right away and 48% said that there are only few printing services present in their

community. There are few printing services open but their prices are too expensive. The Deluxe

Printing Services found this opportunity to come to the aid and to be established that aims to

provide an outstanding quality service in the most affordable and reasonable price for every

customer. In Deluxe Printing Services, we offer complete services that customers mostly need like

document printing, xerox, scanning, bookbinding, and laminating.

II. Market Study

Our primary target market are the students and teachers while our secondary target

market are the employees and the general public. They are among the 12-27 age group. We are

dedicated in providing the highest possible quality of services, we are more focus to the student

who are in need of printing services in their academic work as shown on the survey conducted that

96% of the printing services they avail by respondents is for academic purposes. The Deluxe

Printing Services will be able to provide a lot of services to the primary target market especially

to engineering, architecture and high school students.

We are introducing a new style of promotion which we call “Send us your File, We

will print it in style”. We will utilize social media and physical signage to advertise our business

and promotion. Our promotion aims to give convenience to the customers by asking them to send

their file in advance and we will print it right away for them to avoid waiting for too long, they

will just going to pick up their printed document as soon as they arrived at out shop.

relationship with our customers by providing high quality work and we also ensure that we are

fully invested in each of our customers. Both the people who come through our door and the service

we provide for them are very important to us. Allowing us in building a strong creative space is

one way we demonstrate our concern. We want our customers to be able to express their creative

visions freely, and we want our customers and partners to be able to showcase new concepts and

ideas. This collaborative setting is unlike anything our customers have ever experienced, and it's

one of the things that puts them at ease right away. We generate the best results for our customers

III. Methodology

The data gathering instrument we used for this business study is a closed-ended

questionnaire. The questionnaire consists of two parts. The first part is about the demographic data

of the respondents and the second part is a close ended question particularly yes or no and multiple-

choice questions. The questionnaire will help us to arrive to the results and conclusions in our

printing service business. The questionnaire was given to the primary targets (students and

teachers) and secondary targets (workers, employees, and others) in San Fernando, Mexico, and

Sta Ana, Pampanga.

In order for us to collect data, the researcher developed a Google form and attach the

closed-ended questionnaire to be use in survey. By using Messenger and other social media

platforms, the researchers conducted the survey by sending the google form link to the target

participants. The survey was conducted through online and distributed to their facebook account

or Gmail account. We were able to gather data from 54 respondents.

IV. Results and Discussion

According to the data gathered, 55.6% of women responded to the survey and 44.4% of men
responded to the survey.

As shown on the graph, 70.4% are aged 18-20 years old, 20.4% are 21 and above and 9.3% are
below 18 years old.

The figure shows that, 94.4% of the survey respondents were students and 6.6% of the survey
respondents were employed.

We can see that, 77.8% of the respondents graduated from secondary school, 14.8% graduated
from college and 7.4% graduated from elementary school.

According to the data gathered, 66.7% answered yes that they need printing services and 33.3%
said that they do not need printing services.

The survey result tells us that, 83.3% answered yes that they see themselves using printing
services in the future and 16.7% answered no that they will not need it for the future.

business with them and 6.6% answered that they would not trust printing services in doing
business with them.

According to the data gathered, 81.5% prefer to print hard copy than use digital softcopy to be
used in their school/office studies and 18.5% do not prefer to print hard copy than use digital
softcopy to be used in their school/office studies.

Based on the data, 88.9% of the survey respondents had a high opinion of a printing services
business and 11.1% of the survey respondents disagreed with this business.

The visual tells us that, 92.6% of the respondents answered yes that high quality printed flyers
help to attract buyers and 7.4% of the respondents answered no.

In this item it shows that, 92.6% answered yes who have experienced using any printing service
for their activities and 7.4% who have not yet experienced using any printing.

According to the data gathered, 66.7% answered yes to consider setting up a printing services
business and 33.3% did not consider it.

According to the chart, 88.9% agreed that printing services make our working environment
more pleasant and 11.1% disagreed that printing services make our environment is more
pleasant.

According to the data illustration above 86.8% of the respondents says that printing
services was helping to their studies. While 13.2% of them opposes that printing services wasn’t
helping their studies.

As shown of the graph with above 90.6% says that local printer service could actually build a long-
term relationship to their new and valuable customers. While 9.4% of them says that local
printers didn’t think that local printers cannot build a long-term relationship to their new and
valuable customers.

The illustration above signifies that there are 81.5 percentage of respondents says that local
printing service could produce a better result and high-quality materials. While on the other hand
18.5 percentage of respondents disagrees that local printing services produces better result and
high-quality materials.

The figures show that with the 54 respondents, 77.8% says that respondents they could
easily find a printing services in their community. While 22.2% of them find it difficult to find
printing services in their community.

The illustration above shows how often they use printing services, with the 54 respondents, 17
of them says that they only used printing services with less than a month with a percentage of
31.5, 16 or (29.6%) of them says they used it monthly, 15 or 27.8% of them used it weekly, 4 or
7.4% of them used it daily. Lastly, is the 2 respondents with a percentage of 3.7 says that they
never used printing services.

The visuals tell us how often the respondent use magazines, with the 54 respondents, 34 or (63%)
of them says that they sometimes use magazines, 15 or (27.8%) of them says they never use
magazines. Lastly, are the 5 respondents with a percentage of 9.3 says that they always use
magazines.

services, next to it is the 25.9% of the respondents says that they always need printing services.
Lastly is the 3.7% of the respondents says they never need any printing services.

The bar graph shows that 96.3% of the respondents says that the printing services the usually
avail is through prints, while 74.1% on them avails the xerox, 16.7% avails book bind, 51.9%
avails scan and lastly is the 5.6% avails others.

The illustration of bar graph above indicates that 90.7% of the respondents purpose form
availing printing services is for their academic, 38.9% says it’s for the home use, 9.3% says for
their office works, 16.7 % it’s for the community, 13% is for their work, 1.9% is for the church
purposes and lastly is the 1.9% for their selling merchandise.

As shown on the illustration above, 48.1% of the respondents says that Book bind is the
number one lacking printing services in their community, 25.9% of them says that Print is the
lacking printing services in their community, 20.4% chooses Scan and lastly are the Xerox with
3.7% and Lamination with 1.9%.

Figures shown that 66.7% of the respondent need Digital Printing as the highest percentage of
services they need, next is the Quick Copy with a percentage of 29.6 and lastly is the Offsetting
Printing with a 3.7%.

The pie graph above signifies the service interest of the respondents, the highest percentage
with 74.1 say that the service interest they chooses is the Digital Printing and next to it is the
Quick Copy with a percentage of 25.9.

V. Conclusions

The survey we conducted confirms that the Deluxe Printing Services is a viable

and marketable business to operate with our primary and secondary target market. The data we

gathered shows an affirmative results to pursue and established the printing service that we are

planning. We will be able to get a customers and sales with our services like printing documents,

xerox, scanning, and bookbinding. We are expecting to receive a tasks from students who are

availing document printing for their academic works, also from other target market who are

availing our services for home use, office, community, church and work. The data also tells us that

our primary customers are millennial and from Gen Z. We are confident to the marketability of

our services as shown in the survey that majority of the participants are in need of printing services

SEVICE DESCRIPTION

Deluxe Printing is a full-service printing company that offers document printing, color

and black-and-white Xerox, scanning, bookbinding, laminating, and other related services on a

low-cost basis. Deluxe Printing's skills and understanding provide value to the company. Each

client's printing requirements are assessed and ideas and solutions are provided to satisfy their

special needs. In order to operate, promote, and communicate effectively on a daily basis, most

business need a range of print media.

Here are the descriptions of every service offered:

Document Printing

"Document printing" refers to the process of placing your document on paper. The

customer will be asked if their papers are ready to print, and then the worker will proceed to print

them. If they intend to generate their own documents on the computer, the workers will assist the

customer to the vacant computer. After that, if the customer is done generating their papers, the

workers will proceed to print. That is how the printing of documents will be handled.

Colored & Black and White Photo Copy

One of the most common services that will be provided is photocopies in color and black

and white. This service may be approached in three ways. To begin with, if a customer's

document contains black and white, it will be printed in black and white and priced as a black

and white imprint. Second, if a customer's document contains colors, it will be printed in color

and charged as a color copy. If a customer's document includes colors, but they want it printed in

black and white and charged as a black and white copy. That is how colored & black and white

photo copy will be handled.

Scanning

Scanning is a procedure that converts printed papers and photos into digital files and

delivers them to your computer and generates a duplicate copy. If the customer's papers contain

colors, the consumer will be asked if they want a color or black-and-white duplicate. If a customer

wants to scan a picture, the personnel may edit the picture to the desired size and it will be printed

on the requested paper. That is how the scanning will be handled.

Bookbinding

This is a way of arranging and attaching written or printed pages to a cover in order to

increase the durability of the final copy. A book's cover is usually thicker than the pages inside. If

the customer's papers are ready to print. They will be printed and bound with the chosen cover by

the staff. If a consumer asks a copy, the staff will present various options in order to ensure a

smooth transaction. If the client accepts the package, the staff will prepare the document, bind it

with the required cover, and inform the customer of a pick-up date. That is how the bookbinding

will be handled.

Laminating

This is the process of coating paper or card sheets with a thin layer of plastic to improve

and protect the printed matter. The buyer can also provide a printed copy that is ready to be

laminated. If a consumer asks for a printed copy, the staff will print the requested topic. If the

customer is satisfied with the progress of the personnel, the laminating process will begin. If a

customer wants to make their own copy, the staff will assist them with the available computer. If

the customer is finished, he or she will be assisted in laminating. That is how the laminating will

be handled.

In the middle of distance learning, collaborating with others on a project might be

difficult, but luckily, I got along well with my classmates. Although we finished our different

parts of the business plan on our own time, the decisions we made were anonymous; however, if

something went wrong, other classmates or the leader would offer suggestions for what was best

for our project. On an interpersonal level, I believe we bonded well as a group since we were all

willing to collaborate to solve any problem. Furthermore, we did not allow each other to become

upset at each other since we knew that this would only cause conflict and disrupt the flow of our

group. No one was left behind since the amount of task we all accomplished was evenly

distributed.

Everyone was on time and coordinated their efforts. We didn't have to nag anyone to do

their task or wait for anyone to finish their task. We were able to brainstorm and develop themes

as a group, so everyone knew what the other was writing about and there were no last-minute

misunderstandings. Every one of us has the patience to understand the opinions of one another.

Considering the different opinions and ideas, it is important to practice patience in order to

develop teamwork. To avoid misunderstandings, we actively and attentively listen to each other.

All members are aware that we need to be responsible for completing our own tasks. We

are putting up our best effort to fulfill each task. Since there are parts of the company's strategy

that are tough for one person to handle, that's why we are confident in this project since we worked

as a team, we respect one another, and we have no reason to be worried because we know we gave

it our best. We learned from one another, how to encourage one another, and how to motivate

ourselves to complete the task in order to keep things simple and straightforward.

Despite the pandemic roaming around the world, we as an ABM student in Pampanga

High School are very fortunate and proud to say that we are able to accomplish a task that is

specialized in our chosen career. Our greatest achievement is the knowledge and understanding in

business plan. That includes the market analysis, pricing methods, customer behavior and

promotional strategies. We have developed to work under pressure but with a quality content. We

were able to create a business namely “Deluxe Printing” that we believe to be feasible and

marketable. We were able to offer different services in our business. As a student, we learn to be

more focused and motivated in finishing our work individually. We learned to communicate with

our fellow classmates to establish and achieve our common goal that introduces teamwork. It was

also an satisfaction for us to accomplish a long process document like this, as for us it is an great

skill that we learned to start a task little by little than just thinking of it. We developed commitment

and compliance, it also taught us to become goal oriented and disciplined student, we were now

able to avoid any distraction that may hinder us from finishing our task.

Reflection (Collaborative)

Business planning was very challenging for us, but it was a fun and educational

experience. It was the easiest part to come up with an idea, but anyone can come up with an idea.

How it is put together and how to move an idea forward and turn it into a business is a difficult

part. It was very important to understand the market, trends, what the customer wants and who the

competitors are, so I did this by completing the market research. I learned about the important

process of understanding how you market your product, understanding your target market,

completing your market research, and knowing your competitors. It's easier to show your

uniqueness, but you've learned how to use your uniqueness to drive your business. We learned the

importance of getting the pricing strategy right. We felt like we were working on an actual

transaction, covering every detail. We enjoyed talking to consumers during market research to get

ideas from them and learn more about their behavior. It's about getting the right product and how

to sell it to consumers. I used a social media platform for market research purposes.

Once you know all the information you get, we think it all gets easier and easier but we

believe it is very important to have passion about what you want to do because if you don’t enjoy

it or believe in your product how will you convince other people to buy your products. It takes a

lot of patience to work on a business plan, and we believe that information can only be obtained

through research. We read magazines and business papers, and searched for entrepreneurs online.

Observe trainees, understand good bargaining skills, teamwork, customer service, finding the right

products, what customers want, get the right prices, and be in the right place at the right time we

learned the importance of things. We read the article. Reading more articles and seeing all these

shows was inspiring and encouraging when I thought about all the ways I could perform my tasks

better to improve my products and services.
