Scope of the Study This study will implement ID3 and C4.5 Algorithm
in predicting the graduation rate of BS in Computer
Science.

Limitation of the Study The prediction model is limited to the following:

 Prediction will not be based from the
following factors:
1. The prototype cannot predict the names
of the student who will graduate.
2. The accuracy of the prototype cannot be
guaranteed as 100%.
3. Irregular students are not included in the
list of the students.
4. The file that will be used in the
prototype must be Excel 97-2003
workbook (.xls) only. However, the file
that will be uploaded in the Weka and
RapidMiner can be any type of file.

Computer Science Principles /  ID3 algorithm is used to create decision tree

Algorithm Base using top-down greedy approach to check
every node and information grade use as
metric to generate tree ID3 Algorithm.

 C4.5 algorithm build decision tree from a

set of data using concept of information
entropy. Each node of the tree, the c4.5
chooses attribute that most effectively split
 its set of samples its set of samples into
subsets enriched in one class or the other.
