Using a coin, unlock the battery
chamber cover by turning it counter-

teries are in good condition (battery
potential is high enough), at least
one of the indicator LEDs will light
up. If a LED fails to illuminate, the
batteries are too weak and need to be
replaced, they are incorrectly inserted,
or the shutter speed selector is set to
"OF'F" or "B".

Shutter Release and Release Lock

stage electromagnetic shutter release
with safety lock. When the shutter
release button is depressed half way,

The position marked "OFF" on the shut-
ter speed selector is the shutter re-

batteries are disconnected from the
circuit and exposure cannot be made

when the camera is not to be trsed
for a long time.
