iU22/iE33 Software Reload A-C Carts

Tools:
 Software CD with proper software level
 Licensed Options disk of the system
 System Back-up

Software reload:
 Boot System
 Press DEL to go into BIOS on keyboard
 Log into BIOS
o Enter BIOS Password
 Select Advanced BIOS Features
 Set CD drive as first boot
o Select device USB CD-drive
 Install software disk into drive
 Press F10 (Text/Cursor Button)
o Save and exit BIOS
 System will boot to a DOS prompt box on screen
o Select Y to retain the hostname
o Select H when prompted
o Select Y to continue
 Install message
o Remove/eject software CD
 When Screen goes black and there is no CD/DVD activity, Remove Disk 1
Note:
 If installing on an iE33, insert disk 2
 If loading Vision 2010 S/W 5.2.0.289 or higher, then you will have to insert the Drivers and
Printers disks when prompted.
 If unable to configure Bluetooth – hit cancel. The system does not have a Bluetooth dongle
installed.
 Once configured, system will shut down

To access diagnostics:
 Boot System
o System should boot to an error 11.xxx.xxx.
 Select setups
 Select Tech admin tab, if not already selected
o User name “us_techuser” temporary user name for 24 hours only
o Password “Jc2Dw7KbrTx7” temporary password for 24hours only
 Security tab – to create a permanent account
o Add techadmin
 Create user
 Set user as “ultrasound”
 Create password
 Set password as “ultrasound”

 Select Install/Upgrade Tab
o Select Manage System Button
 Select Check/Update System Configuration Button
 Select Check All
 Select Configure
 Select OK, on pop up window
o Select Quit , in the upper right hand side
o System will reboot

On the reboot:
 Go into BIOS
o Set HDD-1 back to first boot device
 Log into Tech Admin with newly created Tech Admin
o Name: ultrasound
o Password: ultrasound
 Select Test/Utilities
o Calibrate Touch Panel
 Select arrow next to Platform
 Select arrow next to Touch Panel
 Select Calibration
 Select Execute
o Run Diagnostics
 Select System
 Select Execute

Load Licensed Option File:


 Once diagnostics has completed, select quit to reboot
 Log into Tech Admin
 Select Install/Upgrade Tab
o Select Manage Licensed Options Button
 From down arrow, Select Load Licensed options
 Put CD/DVD in drive
 Select Ok
 Validate and Compare
 Replace
 Select OK
 Shut Down the System
 Boot System
