*Activated partial thromboplastin time 30-40 sec (30-40 sec) (aPTT) For those receiving anticoagulant therapy, aPTT is 1.5–2.5 times control value in seconds.
Bacteremia: Bacteria growing in the blood can often be
grown in the culture medium in the microbiology laboratory. When bacteremia is suspected, antibiotics should be started immediately after blood cultures are obtained.
