FORMAT OF A DYNAMIC CHART

PRINCIPLE: SHOWING CHANGES OVER TIME


4 PARTS:
An introductory para: show what the chart is about.
An overall para: show a common/general trend of the data.
2 body paras: show the changes in the figure of categories in the chart.
GUIDELINES FOR MORE THAN 2 CATEGORIES IN THE CHART: HƯỚNG DẪN

• An introductory: The line graph gives statistics/information about______over a period of
___ years/between ___ and_____ .
• Ex: The bar chart provides the information about the number of male and female readers in
the library in the US between 2000 and 2010.
• An overall: Overall, It is clear that there is an upward/downward trend in___.it is also
noticeable that A is always higher than B throughout the period shown./ While A is higher than
B in the beginning year, it fell to below the level of B in____.
• Body: divide the graph into 2-3 period of time.
• Body 1-STARTING POINT AND PERIOD 1:
