The course develops pre-service teachers’ technical and scientific writing skills necessary for information and communication across disciplines using
global language in a multilingual context. It will provide them extensive reading background and considerable knowledge on the components and
characteristics that determine technicality of language and concepts in a technical and scientific work. They will analyze a variety of professional rhetorical
situations and write different technical reports to demonstrate their proficiency in the written communication.

Course Learning Outcomes


Within the semester, the pre-service teachers should be able to:

1. demonstrate proficiency in written communication by writing effective technical reports and instructional materials that take into account SDG 4- ensuring
inclusive and equitable quality education and promoting lifelong learning opportunities for all;
2. utilize ICT resources for data gathering, writing, editing, and advertising skills in a professional network of employers and job seekers;
3. foster team spirit through collaborative written projects;
4. prepare a portfolio of written outputs: progress report, accomplishment report, memo, email, inquiry letter, application letter, resume, LinkedIn account,
module on basic grammar, and case study; and
5. demonstrate the value of technical writing in the education industry and the society.
