Banning cell phones in school?

There is controversy surrounding the use of

cell phones in the classroom. Nevertheless, students are already using cell phones
for academic purposes at school. I believe students can benefit from cell phone
usage during the day by learning in a way that is comfortable for them, keeping
eye contact with their parents, and having easy access to information. As a result, I
disagree with banning cell phones in school.

As a first benefit, students can learn in a way that is comfortable for them by
allowing cell phone usage. The cell phone is like a tool to students these days, as it
aids them in many ways and allows them to learn better. Young people have a
great deal of understanding of smartphones. They are becoming the most used
device by teens as more and more students learn to use them. Next, allowing
students to use their cell phones allows them to stay in touch with their parents,
which makes their parents feel secure knowing that their children can contact them
at any time which is particularly useful during emergencies. Occasionally, your
parents may need to contact their child for some important reason.

Furthermore, it makes it easier for students to access information by allowing them

to bring their cell phones to school. It can be difficult for some students to stay on
top of all their assignments. Therefore, by giving them access to online
information, they can learn more about the topic and be more organized which
increases their chances of being more productive during lessons and more
participative during discussions. Having to search for information during class is
one of the biggest technological advantages ever created to this day.

In contrast, cell phones in classroom encourages cheating. Online forums,

websites, and tutors are available to assist students with their assignments and
tests. Aside from that, kids might cheat by accessing answers via their cell phones
during tests, which is unethical, and they would end up not learning anything. In
addition, your phone might get stolen, lost or broken but that would be the least of
your problems as you will have to be more attentive about your private information
which might spread to the outside world and your school.

To conclude, cell phones should not be banned from schools as they are extremely
helpful to students. In addition to providing fast access to knowledge, it offers a
comfortable method of learning, and you can stay in contact with your parents
during hard times. Ultimately, mobile devices are beneficial in their own right. So,
do you think it's reasonable to ban them?
