C. GENERIC STRUCTURE
o Intro

The first generic structure is the Intro or the introduction is the first part of a song or it can
also be said as an introduction. Intros also serve to provide time for singers and listeners to
prepare before the song is actually played. Intros are also used for melodies, harmonics, or
rhythms.

o Verse

Verse is a part of a song, as a song at the beginning before entering the bridge or chorus. This
section tells the story of the song and there are usually two or three stanzas in a song.

o Chorus or Refrain

Basically the chorus and the chorus are different, the similarity between the two is as a part
that contains the main message / core of the story presented through song lyrics. This section
is the most frequently repeated because of the summary where the story of the song is.

o Bridge

Usually the bridge is used to bridge between parts of the song. For example, bridging the
chorus with the verse or vice versa. The notes played on this bridge are usually made very
different from the notes in the verse and chorus, so that this section suddenly changes the
tempo, volume, or instrumentation but doesn't sound out of place.

o Coda or Outro

The coda or outro is the final part of the song. The contents, take some of the lyrics and notes
that existed before or repeat the intro, chorus or just refrain from using a musical instrument.

the song.

Stanza Generic Structure

There's a place, in your heart
And I know that it is love
And this place could be much brighter than tomorrow
(…)
And if you really try
You'll find there's no need to cry
In this place, you'll feel there's no hurt or sorrow
There are ways to get there
If you care enough for the living
(…)
Make a little space
Make a better place
Heal the world, make it a better place (…)
For you and for me and the entire human race
There are, people dying,
if you care enough for the living
Make a better place, for you and for me
If you want to know why
There's love that cannot lie
Love is strong
It only cares of joyful giving
(…)
Fear of dread
If we try we shall see
In this bliss we cannot feel
We stop existing and start living
Then it feels that always
Love's enough for us growing
(…)
So make a better world
Make a better place
Heal the world, make it a better place
For you and for me and the entire human race
There are, people dying, (…)
if you care enough for the living
Make a better place, for you and for me
