TITLE An In-Depth Workshop and Hoslistic Empowerment of Tecahers in the New
Normal Education

DESCRIPTION Innovation in education under the new normal is a call for all teachers to meet the never
ever-changing demands of teaching and learning process. To meet all this needs and
demands of the JHS and SHS teachers of John J Russell Memorial High School will
continue to take a step in and make a way to provide professional development among
teachers despite of the corona virus disease 2019 ( Covid – 19) pandemic via google
meet platform.

RATIONALE In conformity with the D.O 35, S. 2016- Continuing professional development
strategy for the improvement of teaching and learning and in line with the DepEd
continuing in respose to the key challenges John J. Russell High School will
conduct a Virtual School Level In-service training on December 14 – 19, 2020 , entitled
“ An – InDepth Workshop and Holistic Empowerment of Teachers in the New Normal
Education “

OBJECTIVES 1. To equip all teachers of John J. Russell Memorial HS physical, mental and
psycho social skill in the new normal setting
2. Recalibrate the strategy of assigning teaching responsibilities
3. Give feedback on MELC’s and suggested activities
4. Plan for distance learning delivery modalities for the 2 nd quarter

TARGET COMPETENCIES Update Teachers:


1. Use of Online tools and multimedia on Google Classroom
2. Knowledge on creating an Instructional Video Lesson

KEY CONTENT 1. Blended Learning Using Google Classroom and other Means of Communication
2. A Step Guide in Making Your Own Instructional Video Lesson
