    BEDROOM NIGHT

    The phone slides across the bed into NADJA’s hand.


    Phone continues ringing.

    REINER
    (visibly panicked and distressed)
    Wh-wha-who is that Nadja

    (raising his tone of voice menacingly)


    Why are you still talking to him?!

    NADJA
    (softly)
    I am not going to tell you anything,
    you already know everything you need to know

    (extending her hand)


    Give me the key Reiner.

    REINER
    (pointing to the phone)
    Answer it.

    NADJA
    NO.
    Give me the key.

    Reiner takes 1 step forward


    REINER
    Then I’ll answer it

    Nadja picks up the phone and hangs up immediately, the room is


    filled with tension both of them keeping eye contact.

    The phone rings, Reiner picks up the phone.

    REINER

    Hello.
    The line goes silent
    HELLO!
    I know it’s you Hans.

    Before Hans can answer, the phone is snatched from Reiner’s


    hand and and hanged up.

    REINER
    (speaking through his teeth)
    STOP DOING THAT!
    You have no right, after all we’ve been through-
    I DESERVE an explanation.
    NADJA
    (shouting)
    YOU? YOU DESERVE AN EXPLANATION?!I-I deserve better.

    (visibly upset and trying to calm herself)


    I can’t even look at you anymore Reiner.
    I don’t love you anymore!

    Reiner picks up the phone in a fit of rage and smashes it


    against the wall.
    REINER
    (pointing at the smashed phone)
    But you clearly love Hans, clearly he is the
    “better” you deserve!

    Nadja does not reply she is just intensely staring at Reiner,


    looking at him in disbelief.
    Reiner takes one step forward and gets in Nadja’s face.

    REINER
    (visibly distressed and angry)
    ANSWER ME NADJA!

    Nadja making intense hateful eye contact with him.


    She gestures a pushing motion with her right arm into Reiner’s
    chest.
    Reiner is nudged 3 steps back.
    Her nose starts bleeding.

    NADJA
    (on the verge of tears)
    Why won’t you leave me alone.
    I don’t love you anymore Reiner!
    You repulse me!
    (SHOUTING)
    I WANT YOU OUT OF MY APARTMENT!

    Camera zooms into Reiner getting a peak into his imagination


    of him shooting Nadja.
    Camera cut back to reality
    Reiner sits on the bed looking at the drawer.
    Reiner opens the drawer.
    The drawer is empty
    He looks back at Nadja.
    Nadja has a gun pointed at him

    NADJA
    (crying silent tears)
    Maybe now.I-I can finally be happy.
    (SHOOTS)
    CUT TO BLACK.
