3. Apply On-Page SEO steps in the content - Steps we will be discussing in On-Page SEO video
4. Use graphics - Graphics make a content reader friendly and helps them to go through complete content.
5. Use video if possible - Video helps increase retention time.
6. Add focus keyphrase - Its the primary keyword of the content and should be unique for your website
7. Permalink fixing - URL contains permalink which should be short , keyword friendly
8. Optimize meta tags - Search results show information submitted in meta tags this can be done manually for a
static website separately on each page and for CMS it can be done using interface and plugins.

Content can be broadly categorised in 3 types

1. Textual Content - Textual content as you will find everywhere whether its a website , social media or search
engine search results. You can describe anything through words which one can read and even if you want to
record it you need a text script.
2. Graphics Content - Images used on social media, website etc is Graphic content which is created according the
niche for communicating with the viewer my means of image.
3. Video content - Videos are used everywhere whether social media, websites etc and help to communicate
things in a presentable manner.

1. Search for top 5 best piece of content on your topic and find the best points from it.
2. Explore more about the topic and try to find things which are missing in the existing contents , sometimes you find good information on
pages from 2-10 of Google search results, also you can refer videos or books for the same.
3. Rewrite the content in your language with simple words in a proper sequence using short sentences , also apply the keywords wherever

Video content creation is a specialized task but very important these days, although its not considered part of SEO
course still according to me all types of content are important which are going to use in SEO activities.

So I will share with you few important tips which will help you start creating video content for social media and SEO.

1. Screen recording - Easy and FREE tool to screen record or edit video content is active presenter.
2. InfoGraphics video with music- Can be created using Canva , Invideo and other video tools
3. Animated video - Can be created using Doodly , Toonly

Website Analysis (Web Presence Analysis )
Website Analysis is divided in two steps:

1. External Analysis - When you don't have access to website code and its internal analytics assets then you can only do external
analysis otherwise too external analysis is important and it consists of the following

a. Website Traffic analysis ( can be done using semrush or Ahrefs etc )

b. Website Speed analysis ( use Google Speed test or I recommend using http://gtmetrix.com/ )
c. Website On Page status ( use woorank chrome extension or firefox plugin )
d. Website Link Structure ( use screaming frog a desktop tool for windows and mac)
2. Internal Analysis - When you have access to website code or its control panel and in turn Google Search Console and Google Analytics you
can do Internal Analysis
a. Check website for any updates if its a CMS like WordPress
b. Check Google Search Console for any bug fixes and not indexed pages
c. Check Google analytics for detailed insight on the traffic sources and the content views.

Competitor Analysis
For competitor analysis you have to list down your competitors

If you already know about your competitors great still you can cross check by below methods.

2. Google Search with the most preferred keyword in your business or niche
3. Via social media like Facebook, Instagram , pinterest or linkedin

Once you list down competitors then you have to do analysis of their online assets

1. Website- Check their links and the traffic areas and also their content to analyse their strengths and weakness.
2. Social Media Profiles ( handles you get through the website or even google search ) - Check their traffic and
content and also try to interact with them which helps you connect to their audience.

Now prepare a report in excel sheet ( sample template link )

This List will be used in keyword research and other content research in further SEO work
Keyword Research
Keyword research can be done in many ways namely

1. Google search
2. Paid tools like Semrush , Ahrefs , KWFinder , Keywords Everywhere
3. Free Tools like Soovle ,KeywordTool , Whatsmyserp
4. Google Keyword Planner ( I prefer to use )
5. Google Trends & Twitter Trends for trending keywords

Now when you find keywords which are having high search volume and low competition you have to list them
in an excel sheet.

Now you have to use the keywords in your website pages and also can be used on the content you are
regularly posting in form of Blog/Article or Web Stories .

Further for blog/article or web stories you may have to do more keyword research based on the topic selected.
On Page SEO techniques using WordPress &Html
Steps to follow during On-Page SEO

1. Keyword Research.
2. Decide Title for Page and a Catchy Title for your Blog/Article or Web Story.
3. Include Keywords in the content.
4. Perform Interlinking to the relevant content on a related keyword as anchor text.
5. Add External links if possible.
6. Format content in H1, H2, H3 or paragraph.
7. Write short paragraphs.
8. Use Graphics Like 2-3 images for 1000 word content. ( for Blog / Articles )
9. Try to use primary keyword or page title as alt tag of featured image.
10. Use Table of Content for easy navigation. ( for Blog / Articles )
11. Follow PBC Rule P(Preview),B(Benefit),C(Call to Action). ( for Blog / Articles )
12. Use Active voice & write in second person. ( for Blog / Articles )
13. Highlight important words or anchor text with different color matching your theme.
14. Try to use Primary keywords 0.5% times and secondary keyword 0.2% times.

Image Optimization
Image Optimisation is a technique to make images being used on web compatible to web i.e. browser and crawlers.

4. Reduce load on server thus proper utilization of server resources.

Points to follow:

2. Image size to be fixed i.e. height and width. Use squoosh.app
3. Image resolution to be fixed according to web. Squoosh.app or Imagecompressor.com
4. Image name to be corrected using proper keywords and removing space in name and replacing with “-”
5. Alt tag to be present for each and every image which should describe contents of image.
6. Change image extension to webp.
7. Use Plugin in WordPress ( just for information but I wont recommend )

TIP: if your WordPress website speed is slow even after image optimisation then the issue is with the theme used and can be
improved upto 60% using this plugin
Url Structuring
URL Stands for Uniform Resource Locator - A unique locator (address) to locate a resource (content) on Internet i.e. a
web address to browse or access a page on internet .

Url Structuring is best practice to be followed for SEO friendly URL , It is made up of a Protocol , domain name and path
( called slug or permalink ) protocol Path or slug or permalink or page name

Domain name

The protocol is how the browser gets the information about that page, either http:// or https:// (“s” stands for secure).
When its https:// we call it SSL enabled i.e. Secure Socket Layer enabled to provide security to the data accessible on
internet and preventing it to be modified or deleted by hackers.

Domain name is a unique address where the website is located with different TDL like .com, .org, .in etc..

Path or slug or permalink is a exact location of page or file which exists on the website it can also be called the page
name.
Url Structuring
Now Question is Why does URL Structure matter for SEO ?

URL Structuring is organisation of your websites content , URL structure is important in SEO for 2 main reasons

1. User Experience

User experience can be improved using a Logical URL structure with page hierarchies. You have to make the website content easier to
navigate so that people can visit the site without confusion.

Urls with Keywords are easy for visitors to trust and also rank easily on search engine.

For example, if you're searching for Seo services in india, a URL like https://infotalks.in/seo-services-in-india will help you decide to click
on that link.

Simple URLs provide the best user experience. Optimize URLs with descriptive keywords that provide a clear understanding of what the
page content is about.

You want to optimize your URLs because it helps search engines deliver relevant results to searchers, and so searchers know exactly
what they’ll see if they click the link.

2. Page Rank

When you optimize your URLs for people you also make it easier for search engine bots to crawl and index your website to provide
relevant content to searchers.
Url Structuring
URLs are a ranking factor in Google & optimized URL structures promote Google PageRank (PR). PageRank is the way Google
measures the value of a web page and its relevance to a search query.

SEO-friendly URLs increase the likelihood of the link being clicked and this can also increase your PageRank.

12 SEO best practices for URLs

1. Follow a good URL structure - best URL structure should be logical, easy to remember and conveys some meaning.
2. Use HTTPS protocol - SSL (Secure Socket Layer ) is important for website security.
3. Hide the www prefix - www is no more needed now , it increases the size of url too and can make it confusing.
4. Edit the page URL to be relevant - url slug should indicate the purpose of page.
5. Keep it short and simple - url should be short and simple as short url are easy to remember and rank.
6. Use meaningful keywords - url should have relevant keywords max 2-3 keywords and no keywords stuffing.
7. Use hyphens to separate words - dont use spaces or underscore to separate words in url instead use “-” hyphens.
8. Eliminate stop words - Don't use words like (the, and, or, of, a, an, to, for, etc. ) in the url

10. Redirect old URLs - If you change your URL after some time or may try to optimise old url then you can enable a
permanent redirect for your old url to new one so that when someone opens old url it redirects to new one.

Internal links are link to your own website pages and content. It can be a link to the root domain which is highest authority or link to
any relevant content. This helps in website navigation and distribution of authority and ranking power throughout the site.

Internal Linking Strategies that’ll boost SEO

1. Create lots of content - The more content you have on your website you get more pages for linking.
2. Use Anchor text - Using keywords relevant to the internal link as anchor text helps a visitor to reach correct information
and is a relevancy signal for the crawlers and bots.
3. Link Deep - Avoid linking to home page and contact us page of website instead link to relevant content based on the
keyword used in anchor text.
4. Use links that are natural to reader - Use links on short links of text which includes the keyword and is relevant to the
context of the page you are linking instead to add links with forced keywords or sentence.
5. Use relevant links - Links should be relevant and fulfill the context of the keyword or sentence use as anchor text.
6. Use do-follow links - The links created should not be marked no-follow which helps crawlers to crawl the links.

Google search console helps Google to know about your website and its updated content , Also Google’s crawlers and bots check
your website for bugs which affect the visitors coming to your website.

When you create a website you need to connect to Google Search console using the following steps

1. Register a Google Search Console using a Gmail id and submit your website.
2. You have to add the code received to your website so that Google Search Console can track your website and its content.
3. Finally you have to submit XML Sitemap to Google Search console and keep track till all the pages are indexed.

Now on recurring basis you have to perform following tasks

1. You get to know the impressions and clicks on your website and the pages with demographics which you can check for
analysis.
2. Check for bugs reported by Google Search Console.

Google Analytics is a web analytics service that provides statistics and basic analytical tools for search engine optimization (SEO)
and marketing purposes. The service is part of the Google Marketing Platform and is available for free to anyone with a Google
account.

When you create a website you should create a Google Analytics account following steps as below

1. Register a Google Analytics using a Gmail id and submit credentials.


2. You have to add the code received to your website so that Google Analytics can track your website and its content.
3. You can create separate properties for different analytics like one for website blogs , another for web stories.

No-follow Links: Links with rel tag nofollow where crawlers or bots will not go to the link content. These links are not to pass the link juice or

If you find broken link on some relevant website you can get a backlink.

Now you have to find the broken links on it using ahref , brokenlinkchecker and any other such online tool.

Now check the broken link and find the content which existed on the page through article archives.

Create a better article on the above lines and then contact the owner or administrator of the website consisting of broken
link conveying about the broken link and the article which you have which can be replaced with the said broken link.

You have to follow up for the same , if you are contacting many for the same then you will definitely get few people who
will agree for the same.

Now create a list in excel of name , email and websites with spam score and domain authority too..
