Client: ICAD Upstarts Media: Television Title: 24/7 Deadly Length: 30 seconds Date: July 7 th, 2011 Copywriter: Paul Flood

FADE IN: MUSIC SCENE 1. INT. KITCHEN DAY A WOMAN is cooking in her apartment. She breaks off to look in the cupboards for an ingredient , but it isnt there. WOMAN (SHOUTING): Do we have any chilli sauce? She waits for a response but none is forthcoming. SCENE 2. INT. HALLWAY DAY The WOMAN opens a door to reveal the sitting room. PAUL FLOOD is sitting on a couch watching television. WOMAN: Were out of chilli sauce. Would you pop down to the shop? It wont be the same without it. She returns to the kitchen before he can respond. He gets up from the couch and goes to the window. Its rai ning outside. SCENE 3. INT. LIFT DAY PAUL FLOOD has his anorak on. Hes struggling to unfurl the hood in the back. SCENE 4. INT. CARPARK DAY CU on a vehicles front wheel as an engine is started. SCENE 5. EXT. APARTMENT COMPLEX DAY PAUL FLOOD emerges out the top of an empty open top bus that is moving camera left to right. On the side of the bus a banner reads, Well done Paul!

SCENE 6. INT. OPEN TOP BUS DAY PAUL FLOOD takes his seat at the front of the bus and starts reading a book. The bus turns a corner onto the main road and up ahead we see crowds of people on either side hemmed in by barriers, gardai and security personnel. They start to go crazy at the sight of their hero. SCENE 7. EXT. MAIN ROAD DAY The bus makes its way up the road, with screaming fans either side. We can now see that it has a banner on the front that reads, CHAMPION. PAUL FLOOD occasionally, absentmindedly waves down at the crowd but mostly remains engrossed in his book. SCENE 8. INT. LOCAL SHOP DAY PAUL FLOOD is pacing the aisles with his shopping basket. He quietly hums We Are the Champions by Queen to himself. SCENE 9. EXT. LOCAL SHOP DAY The crowd, who are kept back either side of the shopfront by barriers, silently stare at the front door, waiting. To the right of shot we can see the front of the open top bus parked up. SCENE 10. INT. OPEN TOP BUS DAY PAUL FLOOD is back on the top deck of the bus with his shopping bag, only now hes on a phone call and, again, not paying a whole lot of attention to the adoring crowd. SCENE 11. EXT. MAIN ROAD DAY Various shots of the crowd children in T-shirts with pictures of PAUL FLOOD on the front, pensioners waving up and looking at each other in excited disbelief, an attractive lady with a placard that reads, This is not a CGI crowd. V/O OF BUSDRIVER: Winners dont get days off... SCENE 12. EXT. MAIN ROAD DAY MS of BUSDRIVER through his windscreen. BUSDRIVER: ...its a 24/7 state of being deadly.

The BUSDRIVER turns his steering wheel to the right and the bus drives out of shot. SCENE 13. INT. CARPARK DAY The BUSDRIVER addresses the camera from his open sidedoor. BUSDRIVER: Which leaves only one question... PAUL FLOOD can be heard coming down the bus steps from above. He exits the bus and the shot. PAUL FLOOD: See you later, Pat. The BUSDRIVER looks after PAUL FLOOD and shakes his head in admiration. BUSDRIVER: What are the height restrictions on your office carpark? The BUSDRIVER closes the sidedoor, takes out his newspaper and starts to read. ENDS.
