The teacher introduces a Cabbage Game for the review of the previous
topic.

“For a sort of review, I have here an improvised cabbage. As the music


plays, the cabbage will be passed to one student to the other. When the
music stops, the one who is holding the cabbage or the one who touches it
will take one portion of the cabbage and answer the question written in it.”

The questions are the following:
1. Why do you think tinikling was considered as folk dance?
2. Where was tinikling dance originated? What part of the Philippines was
that Province located?
3. What kind of bird does tinikling dance imitates? Describe the bird and
its actions.

Bamboo Rhythm I.
1. Strike bamboo poles together once by sliding them against the board or
lifting them an inch or so (ct.1).
2. Open the bamboos a foot apart and strike them twice against the boards
(ct,2, 3). This is repeated as many times as necessary in regular rhythm.

Bamboo Rhythm II
1. Strike bamboos once as above (ct.1),
2. Open the bamboo a foot apart, and strike them three times against the
boards (ct.2,3) .
